I would have thought reading the daily Express or Mail would cause more damage.

  2. James M

How does a story about aspirin warrant a front page headline? Staffing cuts at the Express must be really harming their news output!

  3. Russell

Aspirin now a danger to the Brain cos the Express says so? *holds head in hands* this really is them at their most insane. Reading the story, the doc who provides this story goes on to say: “But it is clear for the vast majority of aspirin users that the benefits far outweigh the risks.”, so back to the status quo then.

  4. Matthew

Jack going back to prison. Never mind he”ll be out in 6 weeks, until the next time…………..
I’m sure that rag ‘OK’ will pay for his ‘exclusive’ story though, it’s about their ‘level’.

  5. Adam

I thought Now… headlines were only used for bad news?

  6. Matt Hurst

And to think the Express are the first ones to lamment any Labour minster who utters the words green shoots.

  7. Uponnothing

The Mail also covers the Aspirin story, and the article clearly states that the bleeding is so little it did not cause any symptoms, and that for the vast majority of patients the benefits outweigh any small risks.

    A complete non-story.

  8. Nick

I quite like the look of Jack’s new girlfriend. Severe redhead in uniform.

  9. Tony

Aspirin causes bleeding? It’s an anticoagulate. Duh.

Not only is a non-story it’s in the same category as ‘Pope rumoured to be catholic’.

    My brain hurts!

Don’t they realise that he has to be free and available for Jade’s ressurrection and Second Coming? I must say, she’s taking her time. That old Jesus fella managed it in just two days.

  12. Stevie H

    “Jade’s ressurrection and Second Coming”

  13. Stevie H

My last post should have had

    (shudder)

    after it!

  14. Shafiq

What a way to spread widespread panic over something that is reasonably harmless.

  15. MatthewS

I thought pritty much everyone in the world knew Aspirin was an anti-coagulant, I doubt they needed an expert to tell them that!

  16. Hugh

    “experts find” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was taught that forty years ago!

  17. Don't Panic, Don't Panic it's BBC News - Britmovie - British Film Forum

[...] a typical example from a recent "Daily Express" Express | Daily Mail Watch Front page news for something that anyone with any medical/pharmecutical background will tell you [...]

  18. The Lilac Pilgrim

A classic case of Did Not Do The Research. Apparently no-one ever reads the little leaflet that comes with most medications. But aspirin being an anti-coagulant is common knowledge anyway. It’s like reporting that “some people are allergic to penicillin! ONOZ!”
