What a stupid headline. And those babies that are born here are not foreign, they’re British!! And why no maddie on the front page? Every other newspaper had at least a front page on it. Perhaps they’re restraining themselves in preparation for a Maddie McCann pull out special.
‘3rd world’ immigrants tend to reproduce (for a short while) at the relatively high levels that they used to in their countries of origin.
Nevermind that within a relatively short time the cost of living here forces them to be much less productive and rapidly match the rest of us .
Maybe the likes of the DE/DM might start wondering what it is about our society that is producing these results where less and less of us are having fewer and fewer children?
Perhaps it turns out that the Thatcherite (and all subsequent minor variations thereof) economic system they have lauded and grovelled before for so long turns out to be one of the most damaging things ever let loose on the nation?
Some how I doubt they ever would though, afterall that wopuld mean defining their heroine as one of the greatest threats this country has ever had and themselves as complicit in the damage done.

If one in four children are born to immigrants, that means that the number of children born to those of British nationality will continue to outstrip the number that aren’t by three to one.

The US gave $13 *billion* to Europe after WW2, so if Churchill had actually had £40 million to spend (which he didn’t – the country was in fairly bad shape by that point) I’m sure he would have.
