Maybe Littlejohn’s finally cracked, and climbed up to the top of a high building to start taking more literal potshots at minorities. He’s tweeting constant updates via his mobile, and they’ve compiled them into his column for today. Who says the Mail’s not ‘with it’?
Funny isn’t it. The Mail goes on about the BBC’s lack of journalistic integrity, e.g. the documentary about the Queen where she ’storms out’, but the Fail does exactly the same thing. It never ceases to amaze me how Dacre and his ‘journalists’ can manage to bleat about moral values and other people’s moral failings when they behave so breathtakingly hypocritically day in, day out.
So a ‘British’ suspect in the ‘Maddie’ (funny how her parents never called her that) case. Shock! Horror! The suspect may be a native of ‘this once great country’
That truly is a horrible photo of the Queen. Why on earth didn’t that cameraman not run away, she looks like she’s about to have an, ‘off with their head moment,’ either that or she’s just remembered that she left the iron on…..
Who has littlejohn got in his sights?
Probably a burger.
Forgot to add, the Mail is taking credit for the Gurkhas. I quote:
“The only condition is that Gurkhas must have at least four years’ service to win settlement rights. It is a triumph for the Daily Mail, which has championed their case.”
@Matt Hurst…so it’s bullshite that the economy is in deep trouble is it? You might find a few commentators arguing to the contrary. Mind you, Matt Hurst, as you’re presently canvassing for the Labour Party I suppose you’ve got to sound optimistic. I have an image in my mind of you and your fellow canvassers singing ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ as you go from door to door. How many votes that wins you remains to be seen.
And now for a bit of ‘right-wing authoritarianism’. I dearly wish that Littlejohn were in this public library where I am at present, with a rifle in his hands ready to open fire on the spiky haired moron sitting next to me who’s watching hip hop videos on You Tube with the volume up (he’s a white spiky haired moron btw before you all get on your high horses). Forgive me, but sometimes authoritarianism can seem attractive.
Daveyp – Yes it can seem attractive to some, but where does it end? The spiky haired youth might want to shoot you because he doesn’t like the way you dress or style your hair, and what then if his lot got into power? You aren’t arguing for authoritarianism, you’re arguing for inequality, where your views take precedence, otherwise you’d support Mugabe, an anti-white, anti-western authoritarian, and we all know where that got Zimbabwe…
The fact is that people (and therefore the economy) is most productive when people are happy, and people are most happy when they are free. You can look at the whole of human history here for examples, and the reason we won the Cold War was not by out ‘authoritarianing’ the Soviet Union, but by beating their economy (and all their satellite states too) by out ‘freedoming’ them. Look at what happened to China’s economy as soon as they started making limited liberalisations, and how Hong Kong is the richest and most productive portion (and also the most free)
Not to make crass assumptions or generalisations about you, but authoritarianism (as with the case of every right-wing government that ever got into power) appeals to people unhappy with their lot and/or income. As you’ve mention a few times that you post from the library and are unhappy with your flat, I’m guessing you fall into that category. You must realise though that these people (the BNP, Daily Mail, etc) are not offering solutions to your problems, but instead shifting the blame onto others in order to get your vote and your money to enrich and empower themselves.
Kick all the blacks out! Ban Islam! Ban homosexuality! By making people different from you as miserable as you are might make you feel better about your lot, but will it improve your life? No. By kicking out all the immigrants who are ’stealing your jobs’ get you a better one? Unless you want to work in a factory like they do, no. Will cutting off benefits to those most vulnerable improve your standard of living? Unless 1p off income tax, that amounts to £10 a month more on the minimum wage would make a huge difference to you, then no.
The right-wing offers no solutions, only more excuses. It is attractive as blaming others for your problems rather than confronting and overcoming your own problems is also attractive, but ultimately neither offer anything like a solution and the people manipulating you into such views are laughing all the way to the bank.
Also, the Labour Party didn’t ruin the economy. It’s a global problem unless you haven’t noticed, and the school of though that introduced lassie-faire capitalism in the 80s which created the banking system that caused this problem was – guess what? – a right-wing conservative/republican initiative. And again, guess what? It made the rich, richer and the poor, poorer, all the while convincing the poor to vote for it too by creating for them and then playing up to prejudices.
This article explains a lot of how they do it – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumpenproletariat. While a lot of it is dated, it’s basically still the right-wing policy of tricking the poorest and least satisfied in society to advance the causes of the richest and most fortunate.
I think my point is this – stop worrying about and trying to control what other people are doing and instead worry about and try to control the direction your own life, and don’t listen to people trying to distract you from that with cheap propaganda. You’ll be a lot happier and successful for it.
A Few say it won’t, what the majority. Even this group who have suggested it later have used the words “could” “May” and “Perhaps”.
As someone mentions, this is a global economy that Labour should share some blame in, but so should the consertatives who followed this idealogy to the maxiumum and created a economy that was built on sand.
As for my party affliations, that shouldn’t matter I’m not happy with alot of what the Labour Party has done but I have leafletted for people because they wanted the best locally, I haven’t campaigned in a national election.
Ironically if you must know the party that most people hate in Cornwall isn’t Labour, but it’s the Liberal Democrats, the same as it was in Bournemouth. And I doubt we’d get many votes anyhow in those areas we didn’t in 97 or 01 so.
Ps: Sorry about my spelling above, its been a long day and I haven’t had the luxury of moaning about someone young in a Library. It’s called a public Library and the lad along with anyone else has the right to look (as long as lawful) at anything they like.
They can even post bullshite about characters on the Internet, waste of taxpayers money I say.
It’s always funny when the Daily Mail bring up the BNP, because regardless of them trying to say they dislike the party, their horrible scapegoating and tabloid hysteria has really helped the party’s cause.
I posted this comment in response to an article about BNP links to an ultra right-wing Czech group of nutters:
Let this be a wake-up call to all those threatening to vote BNP in the forthcoming euro election. A vote for the BNP is a vote for fascism, I say!

@Steven…talk about overreacting! Detailed and impassioned though your post was can I respectfully say that you took my original comment rather more seriously than I intended. I don’t REALLY want to see people who behave annoyingly in public libraries exterminated. It wasn’t a hymn of hate to people who are different to me, just an expression of irritation with…well, a spiky haired moron or ‘troubled member of the younger generation’ if you prefer. I don’t even mind him watching hip hop videos, just wish he’d do so with headphones on. And although I’m not quite as enthusiastic as the rest of you about African immigration into the UK I would never defend anything as barbaric as forced expulsions. And when have I ever called for the banning of homosexuality? I accept that gays and lesbians have the right to be true to themselves. It’s the Muslims who would criminalise or even execute gay people. Yes, I abominate Islam, not because Muslims look different to me but because I believe the Arabian prophet to be a false prophet and his religion the mortal enemy of spiritual freedom.
@ Matt Hurst…you are definitely an optimist if you canvas for the Labour Party in Cornwall! What I meant about the economy was that you should not sound too upbeat about it on the doorstep, it will alienate people who might be in serious financial straits.I ‘m intrigued though by what you say about Cornish attitudes to the Lib Dems; I thought the LD’s had a lot of support down your way.
I might be a reactionary troll but at least I have a sense of humour. Loosen up guys! And yes, spiky hair was in earlier on, he left just as I came in. His weird two-pronged beard annoys me as well…whoops, I’m being judgemental again!
In a democracy people get the politicians they deserve, as somebody once said so yeah, as chicken oriental as they are, it looks like the BNP have every right to “Invade” the Queen’s do.
I suppose that quote (think I’m right in saying it’s from an early US President) doesn’t take into account three major parties with little to chose between them and moronic newspapers winding things up though.
This whole fresh maddie stuff is based on pure conjecture.. a known paedophile lived a couple of miles from where she went missing. Must be him, then. Never mind that an extensive police investigation completely failed to link him to the disappearence (or even, as far as I know, even suggested it).
What’s next? ‘bloke that looked a bit dodgy seen hanging around that flat a year ago. Here’s a bad drawing.. if you see him shoot him.’
All the political parties are a bunch of jokers, the BNP are as well, the thing that bothers me most about the BNP is the fact they try to act like their not fash, if they admitted they were, rather than cloaking themselves in popular nationalist talk while trying their hardest to avoid the logical economic, political and social conclusion of their arguments, i’d respect them alot more.
Yup, agreed. The most disturbing thing about the BNP is not what they are, but what they *pretend* to be. If they were honest about being ignorant racist thugs, they’d be no threat to anyone.
I believe that’s called “Insidious Electioneering”- winning more votes by being dishonest about what your party really stands for to get support from those who would not normally support you.
It’s been incredibly popular since about the time Blair became leader of the Labour party in 1994 (it’s just taken the BNP a while to catch on- the National Front still haven’t which is why they’re on their arse).
New Labour started it by appealing to traditional Tory voters then the Tories joined in, claiming they weren’t the “Nasty Party” anymore, etc. The BNP trying to attract more moderate, “Respectable” support is just an extension of that.
Hoping that the red banner section and the main headline are connected.
Queen caught in looking pissed off photo.
She’s probably pissed off at all the people snapping photos of her.
As for the economy sliding towards bankruptcy, bullshite.
It’s amazing how you can write two pages of shit and a headline based entirely on a misleading photo and utter conjecture.
I’d argue she was more likely pissed off due to A FUCKING PAPARAZZI PUSHING A CAMERA WITH A HUGE FLASH IN HER FACE.
Am I going to have to buy The Mail as well as The Express for my Maddy ‘fix’!?
If they keep up that fucking cliche, one will want to slap them one.
For a moment I thought the queen was the new suspect.
How come the Daily Mail doesn’t complain about the Queen “sponging off the state at the taxpayers’ expense”?
She’s of pensionable age though Mark.
I think the queen is pissed off at being named as a suspect in Maddie’s abduction
Apparently there was a known paedophile within an hour’s drive of an unlocked flat. What more proof do you need? Hang him now!
Littlejohn: Who’s he got in his sights today?
I’m guessing gay men.
At least it’s not quite as bad as the Sun’s headline – MADDIE: PAEDO SUSPECT. What more do they need? Convict him now!
Front page of the year for me!

Surprise, Littledong is targetting the Labour Party. Again. And, as ever, missing spectacularly.
‘DM photographer really pi$$es of Her Maj’ would have been a better & more appropriate headline, surely.

You can argue whether or not the economy is heading for bankruptcy. Some say it isn’t.

Her maj was in Wigan the other day, which to me explains the look much better than anything they mention there.
And what the hell would it matter to her?
To be honest, fuck Brenda; I’m more interested in what cutting-edge viewpoint Phil’s got.
@DaveyP

Ugh. My friend’s dad came with the school on a trip to London, and all i heard in the bus was him chuckling over the headline.
If only more than 68 people could hear about this..
