More p!ss poor nonsense from this rag. It’s called rightful ‘entitlement’ just as mortgage tax relief was middle class welfare in the ‘glorious past’.
I do hope they’ve provided an ethnic breakdown of the claimants which is the very least you’d expect from ‘The world’s greatest newspaper’(sic).
Ah, kittens! And a story that could have been printed since Gutenberg (not Steve). Well, apart from that period in which they were bricked up in the walls of houses for good luck, obviously.
Haha work til your 70 unless your in the public service sector………Err no if I read the latest stuff that’s being emailed about.
Do council houses still exist? I thought Thatcher had sold them all off, if you want some more facts to add to this nonsense then you could also say housing benefit you also have the many on private rents due to the lack of council/social housing.
Or do you only care about people with mortagages who can now defer payments currently through a new government scheme, infact there are several schemes we’ve had leaflets through this morning in jcp.
It’s actually an even worse story that it seems. I forced myself to read the **** and discovered that the 60% on full benefit entitlement referred to HOUSING ASSOCIATION tenants, not Council House tenants. There is a lame comment along the lines of “and the same may apply to council house tenants”. They also use a very odd word in linking the story to the Shameless tv programme, along the lines of “council house tenants as typified by the characters in Shameless”. Er, I don’t think Shameless is meant to represent typical council tenants.
Wahey if you’re a cat and you work in the pc gone mad sector!

Social housing in ‘tends to be used by poorer people’ shocker. Jesus.
Who are more ’shameless’, those who are unemployed and have to claim housing benefit or those who work for the Express?
“60% of all council house residents would be homeless and destitute otherwise”.
Always nice to rewrite Express Headlines with added FACT.
That’s an extremely unfortunate mixture of headline and front page photo. Did no one check?
I knew they’d find any old excuse to put pussy on their front page.
i’d hazard a guess that most unwanted cats are a lot older than the ones in the photo.
Caring for cats = good
Caring for poor people = bad
Is she allowed to wear a medal she hasn’t been awarded? I’d have thought there’s some old army rule preventing it.

Nah just another FUCK THE POOR……….
Council housing in disproportionate shocker…..used largely by least well off and the retired.
Well knock me down with a feather.
C*nts.
I’d like to see an age breakdown of the figure.
Retired people have a much more generous housing benefit entitlement especially if in receipt of pension credit.

So, a load of steaming XXXX basically.
