The councli at home does not do this, but we have this in the office but it's somewhat confusing eg. the plastic recycling bin doesn't allow margerine tubs or yoghurt pots, which are plastic but not, apparently, the right sort of plastic, and the paper ones allow white paper but not brown paper - all the brown (or any other colour) paper must go into general waste.

If we were to have such a bin I'd want a good guide on exactly what goes where.. especially if they're proposing fines ('is that a brown envelope I see? That'll be £50 fine'). Also preferably a nice neat muti-comparment bin rather than filling my kitchen with about half a dozen swingbins..

Not directly related, but the Mail's hatred of J. Ross is remarkable. And very sloppy.
