By my calculations that would give a figure of about 1.7 m. I bet there’s more of them than that.
If only Mohammed’s enemies in Mecca had got their act together and squashed him and his sect flat while they had the chance. The Arabs could still have gone on to develop some form of ethical monotheism, one that valued individual liberty. But instead they and many, many others ended up saddled with Islam. Neander, you’re probably right that the number of Muslims in this country exceeds 2.7m. There are undoubtably some people in this country illegally and it is a reasonable assumption that at least one of them is Muslim. Fair enough, but these are the best figures we have.

Muslims comprise 2.7% of the UK population, and this group are a minority within that minority. There ain’t jack shit going to come of this.

A secularist isn’t someone who hates all religions. You can be a secularist and belive in the private right of muslims to follow their choice of religion.
I think one person, in a radical group that accounts for a tiny minority of the 2.3% of the UK population, who is muslim, wants Sharia Law.
I’m sure you could find a much higher percentage of Brits who want all ethnic people deported.
This doesn’t mean it’s the consensus view
