What has happened to this country? I blame all the foreigners and liberals who clearly let this dog-stamping run riot!

Memo to the Express: people doing shitty things to animals (not to mention people doing shitty things to other people) isn’t exactly a modern phenomenon or a sudden sign of society in crisis.

Nothing has “happened to our country”. Some people are cocks. This has always been the case.

  3. Original Paul

What has happened to the Daily Express?

  4. Consignia

This would have never happened in the 50s.

  5. Mattj

daily Mail readers not allowed to break law anymore – what has happened to this country?

Rich Toffs on horses not allowed to murder wildlife anymore – what has happened to this country?

Employers forced to pay minimum wage (slavery not allowed) – what has happened to this country?

Mail and Express allowed to publish shite – what has happened to this country?

    etc…etc

  8. Andrew

“What has happened to the standard of journalism?” would be a much better question to ask.

Fortunately for the dog, it doesn’t seem to have come off too badly in this, going by that picture. In fact, I would say it still looks quite cute. Relief all round!

Thank fuck terrible things don’t happen in other countries, say in Parisian tunnels or holiday resorts in the Algarve.

I thought ‘Baba’ might be quitting to go into acting. It seems not…..

    ‘Babs’.

Don’t know when the RSPCA was formed, but it was quite a long time ago. So if this sort of thing didn’t happen in the good old days, why was there a need for the RSPCA?

    Repeat after me mister sub-editor:

Affirming the consequent is a propositional fallacy.
Affirming the consequent is a propositional fallacy.
Affirming the consequent is a propositional fallacy.

Got that? No, didn’t think so.

Pensions crisis for millions…………This I think equated to the fact they haven’t got one.
