A single page can generate multiple hits especially if it contains lots of images – still more if the site is spread over multiple pages – sites like that like to quote hits because it give a nice large figure (even I’ve managed a million hits on a page and I’m a nobody).
I don’t see why it gives them ‘new hope’ unless they’re planning to use the ad revenue to buy copies of Star Wars..
