I thought the Mail was anti all things European.

There is a hilarious story in the centre pages.

Trying to make links between Gordon Brown, Blair and USSR politicians of the 80s.

Like actual links. Trying to claim they are in cahoots.

The actual link the story was based on was “the person who recruited Brown as an MP, once met a USSR politician in the 1970s,”.

You know, all hail Gordon “Stalin” Brown. What compelling evidence

So Gordon met some politicians from the USSR, do they have a letter to prove it?

I’ll bet they do, the ink’s not just dry yet. ;)

Am I the only one who initially thought she was Ulrika Jonsson?

    Post-modern tragedy porn

I agree Tony, I demand a referendum on whether there should be a Euromillions lottery.

Nice to see that the Mail is simply sticking to the facts of the story, and in no way reporting on a tragedy using highly emotive language.

In denial, when being interviewed yesterday by some pathetic news hound, the hearse trundled by and she referred to her husband being bought home safe. Very sad.

“Courage of the widow grief couldn’t break”

Read 4 times as trouble understanding this I had.

Following all the Twittering concerning Jan Moir and the death of Stephen Gately, here’s another gem on the DM debate site. Journalist Mary Ellen Synon has done a piece entitled ‘Never go anywhere less than well-armed’, in which she appears to suggest how foolish it is to let soldiers go around unarmed on their base, and if they had been armed, this sad affair in Camp Hood could have been avoided. One assumes MPs and guard sentries are of course armed, but suggesting that ‘fighting’ men – who, after
a few beers in what we used to call the Naafi or returning from an odd-duty visit down town, should have permanent access ro loaded weapons is just bloody stupid. Where does the DM get these morons from?
Read her piece, post a comment, and for those who Twitter, give her a well-deserved blast.
