……………..Well no the thing I see in this is that if it is some massive con (which from everything I’ve read I doubt it) THEN even the reducement and over reliant attitude on fossil fuels will only benefit a world that is running low on such fuels. Also it is about time we recycled more and wasted less.
These people forget that, even if fossil fuel usage contributes to global warming, they are finite in nature so we’d have to quit them at some point. And the way the oil price is going we won’t be able to afford to drive anywhere soon.

Anyone with a brain realises that the tories are funded by big oil related companies. Companies who need a dependence on oil to make billions.
So the tories, and their media backers (who are also share owned by big oil like companies I should add) start pumping out drivel, that defies science.
I assure you, I work in environmental science. I have no agenda, and rarely even vote these days.
There is no debate whatsoever on the subject. The only debate is that these oil companies fund meaningless research, from cronie like (completely undistinguished) scientists, for big pay cheques, to give them figures to count it with.
The argument is basically:
Every major research body on the planet vs. the scientific equivilant of “ant n’ dec” who have been given a bit pay cheque to give them some comforting numbers, and who are therefore shunned by the community for selling out.
And then these papers just ignore what the US, UK, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese – and their multi billion, 20 year long research projects are saying.
And promote the words of some two bit shyster, who has done 8 months research, at about 1/1000 of the budget, for a big pay cheque from a car company – and maybe found one comforting figure they can use. Ignoring the other 20′000 alarm bells that he has also found.
The general argument with these people is that “the earth always warms and cools”.
Which is true. That is not the argument however.
The argument being, it warms and cools very slowly, on the basis that too much heat, too fast, destroys eco systems.
The only worry with the climate change movement and research is not that it is warming. But it is warming very very fast. Much faster than ever before.
Creating a completely unstable and unpredictable eco and weather system
As an example, the earth’s temperature change by maybe 2-3 degrees between the year 1AD and the year 1800.
It’s risen by a further 2 degrees in the last 100 years alone.
The Mail and The Express’ counter to billions of pages of global warming data and research is to commission an article by David Bellamy – telling us it’s all rubbish.
Note, David Bellamy is a Botonist (plant expert) who hasn’t even done any research in that field, since 1968.
Either that or wait for a cold winter day and say “Look, it’s cold! All this global warming rubbish”.
Note. Not understanding that the results of global warming, is rapidly unpredictable weather – cold, hot, cold hot – not just turning London into some sort of desert……….
