I utterly refute the idea that these are “fanatics who want to kill us”.

The staff couldn’t be more charming, and Lidl have recently promised to remove ALL hydrogenated fats from their products.

Didn’t take long for Cameron’s mask to slip did it? One dodgy weekend poll and out comes the dog whistle.

This is a really ridiculous headline.

First you have to accept that Cameron’s claim probably isn’t true. Most of his point, has already been refuted as being totally false.

They didn’t receive that amount of money, they passed regular inspections, and were fully registered. He said the opposite on all 3.

As far as I’m aware, the only money they have received is the same as any registered school – as in additional, funding for toddlers and things like that.

But let’s just say this is all true (it isn’t). Even then, the group in question are actually one of the most non-violent extremist group about. If you can even call them extremist.

They are totally non-violent, and their mandate is to create a large Muslim state in the middle-east, like Israel is for the jewish nation. And they wish to do so through diplomacy.

It seems to me that Cameron has realised that he’s losing the UKIP vote, so decided on a “bash and Muslim” tactic for the commons.

It’s honestly one of the more ridiculous PM questions moments I’ve ever seen. Even The Sun and Mail are ignoring it through abject embarressment

i agree, it’s a cheap political point by mr cameron. but why is he getting so desperate? he must feel like he is losing ground with the right wing gutter press, but pulling shit like this that fits right in with their anti-muslim agenda is awful.

    Matt

In regards to polls, he’s lost a lot of ground on traditional tory areas.

In short, he’s coming across as a bit too “intelligent” and “reasoned” and is losing ground to UKIP and the BNP on the loony, “those darkies are all out to get us” stakes.

The question wasn’t on the agenda. He added it very late. On the basis that Brown had no prepared answer. The opposition has to submit what topics they will bring up, a week in advance, so that Brown can answer them you see.

He had no answer, and had no idea it was coming. So it was probably a very late, ad libbed revelation, probably passed to him by Andy Coulson in the hall on the way in.

As with such things, it wasn’t very well researched it seems

WTF?? I don’t agree with Hibz-ut-Tahrir’s ideology but they certainly don’t want to kill us.

Anyway, the front page is clearly opinion: PCC guidelines state that newspapers must clearly distinguish between fact and opinion. Maybe Richard Desmond needs a good whack round the head from them?

  7. Fruitbat

The article also says that Cameron criticised Gordon Brown for not banning Islam4UK.

You know, that utterly irrelevant group of nobodies who got scared off by another group of Muslims campaigning for secular democracy a while ago.

  8. Marcs

Apparently it’s something to do with schools run by Hizb-ut-Tahrir, except there is one minor flaw in this Islamophobic plot… They don’t run any schools!
Shouldn’t that paper be reported for incitement to racial hatred?

  9. pottedstu

I hope Hizb-ut-Tahrir rush straight to their libel lawyers.

Unless it’s Alesha Dixon who wants to kill us, in which case I don’t really mind. Alesha 2 win!!!!!

  10. Krylon

Who wants to kill the Express and why are they being offered such little money to do so? I demand answers!

  11. ALloyd

Is the bottom third of the cover cut off, or is there really no actual body text beneath the headline? Either way, it seems like less and less of the DE front page is normal-sized type. I know the Express doesn’t claim to be a broadsheet any more, but this comes off as aimed at the severely myopic or at those with a reading age of about four.

    Put me down for £10

My initial thought was that we could do with a lot more of the pictured type of fanatic.
Especialy liked the skimpy tinfoil burkha.
