I read the story on the Mail website and nowhere could I find any mention of Northampton CC being Conservative controlled: Con 56, Lib Dem 9, Lab 6, Ind 2 at the last election. Somehow I think that if it had been Labour controlled this would have been given great prominence.
I read this story two days ago when it was reported in a less gaudy manner by the Telegraph and the local newspaper.
It is perhaps one of the most heartbreakingly sad things I’ve read in a long time and all the fucking Mail can do is use it to push anti-Social Services buttons.
