Ideal future Daily Mail readers list.

Children bullying, being violent, beign racist, being abusive, and being recorded?

How dare they! Racism, violence, and things like that are just a white childs “right of passage”

Topical “Michael Foot” comment of the day.

Labour MPs have referred to the Daily Mail as the “Forgers Gazette” since the early 1990s, after Michael Foot came out with the quip at a party meeting.

Referring to the amount of information it makes up.

    Hilarious. Love it.

    “Forgers Gazette”

    You’ve got to be taught
    To hate and fear,
    You’ve got to be taught
    From year to year,
    It’s got to be drummed
    In your dear little ear
You’ve got to be carefully taught.

You’ve got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff’rent shade,
You’ve got to be carefully taught.

You’ve got to be taught before it’s too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You’ve got to be carefully taught!

This is ridiculous. I’m not sure they even know what the problem is. Its not as though schools are being told to criminalise kids just record incidents and educate them that they are unacceptable. I may be wrong but the Mail regularly has bullying stories pontficating on why the authorities didn’t do more. Is this not an example of preventative action? Or because the focus is on racism and homophobia does this not count? I mean its only natural that kids take the mick out the puffs and the darkies no?

And don’t worry ladies your emotions are catered for in femail!!! Wouldn’t want to let them get out of check you delicate flowers!!

Oh and good denegration of African culture there. Very drole.

    Horrible rag.

  6. Nonsense Merchant

Clearly Mr Zuma has brought his two wives, and his husband.

I should be a tabloid writer.

  7. Jake

I’d suggest that keeping records of persistent bullies in schools, is being done so that they can:

1: Protect the children they are targeting
2: Generally keep an eye on them
3: Try and rehabilitate/help the bullies.

Like most things, the Mail want the government to be “tough on bullies” and “tough on crime” but object to almost every solution they present.

Like the Mail constantly complaining that thugs get away with it. And never get caught. And how we should be clamping down on them.

Conviction rate for assault with CCTV footage = 90%

Conviction rate for assault without CCTV footage = 50%

    You know!?

“Or because the focus is on racism and homophobia does this not count? I mean its only natural that kids take the mick out the puffs and the darkies no? ”

Criticising people for racism, or homphobia is “political correctness gone mad” in Daily Mail world.

They won’t admit it, but they, and their readers don’t actually think there is anything wrong with light racism and homophobia.

They think if someone has dark skin, you should be allowed to call them “darkie”. And if someone is gay, you should be allowed to call them “poofs”.

Best way to think of the Mail, is just imagine if Alf Garnett was Editor in Chief.

As in, a daft racist/homphobe, who is probably harmless, but none the less, out of touch, and offensive to most

  9. karlo

yes lets give teachers more forms to fill in. Otherwise they might waste their time teaching the little darlings how to spell words like droll.

Oh and good denegration (sic) of African culture to suggest that Africa (quite large continent last time I looked) is mono-cultural. Personally I found the use of the word denigration to be quite offensive but I guess it’s another example of post-ironic humour which means it’s okay to use words like ‘darkies’ and ‘puffs’ because you’re a Mailwatch contributor and therefore can’t possibly be racist. If you’re a five year old and use the word, however, it is completely unacceptable and should go on your permanent record so that everyone knows you’re a racist.

  10. karlo

oh and it’s comforting to know that Jake knows how I think and what my opinions are on racism and homophobia even though he/she has never met or spoken to me and knows nothing of my background. Some people might think that Jake’s a wee bit prejudiced. But then it’s okay to be prejudiced about Daily Mail readers isn’t it?

  11. lady burglar

How can babies of 5 years old be labelled with any tag, whether racist or homophobic? Have you all lost your sense of reality? As for Michael Foot well, the most disrespectful person of all times. A complete nutter

  12. Joe

lady burglar- the man has just died for christs sake- however much you disagreed with him could you find the compassion to not speak ill of him for a day?

  13. lady burglar

    er! no

  14. Stinky

“yes lets give teachers more forms to fill in. Otherwise they might waste their time teaching the little darlings how to spell words like droll”

Maybe you should go into teaching Karlo since your spelling is immaculate. That would be my Tory education shining through. Must have been the lack of form filling that went on then eh? Oh and by the way ‘yes’ should be capitalised there you pedantic cretin (sic??).

“Oh and good denegration (sic) of African culture to suggest that Africa (quite large continent last time I looked) is mono-cultural”

Regardless of where you draw lines on a map polygamy is commonplace across Africa. So yes it is an African cultural phenomenon and yes it is an attack on it by making sneering, sarcastic remarks.

“Personally I found the use of the word denigration to be quite offensive but I guess it’s another example of post-ironic humour which means it’s okay to use words like ‘darkies’ and ‘puffs’ because you’re a Mailwatch contributor and therefore can’t possibly be racist.”

Well no it’s not racist/homophobic if it’s ironic or parody is it? Or are you are aguing with yourself?

“If you’re a five year old and use the word, however, it is completely unacceptable and should go on your permanent record so that everyone knows you’re a racist”

No it should be challenged and the child should be made aware it is unacceptable. The logging of potential problems is nothing more than a child developmental tool from what i can see.

  15. Neander

Jacob Zuma, the new Mugabe. Can anyone really imagine Zuma allowing himself to be voted out of office? Fifty years from now the white man will be gone from Africa; in the streets of Africa’s cities the long grass will be growing; out in the bush the drums will be beating…and Africa will once again be true to itself. This, I rather suspect, is how the Lord wishes it to be. White ‘lets save Africa’ liberals, like the white colonialists of old, are whistling in the wind if they think that their schemes are stronger than the ancient spirit of Africa.

  16. JSwindle

Jesus fucking Christ there are some morons in the world.

  17. Stevie H

Neander, I respect your right to air your views.

But I, and I suspect many on here, don’t believe that your “Lord” exists at all. So bringing the “Lord” into arguments isn’t going to win you a lot of them.

  18. karlo

    Gosh Stinky,

If it hadn’t been for that Tory education you might have realised that the term cretin is considered offensive and unacceptable by many disability rights activists. If you use it in the playground tomorrow your head teacher will probably put you on the hate register.

I’m not quite sure why you are so supportive of polygamy and it’s contribution to the oppression and impoverishment of women, and to the spread of HIV infection among women, but maybe it’s all the fault of your Tory education.

  19. JSwindle

Jesus fucking Christ there are some cretins in the world.

    ‘Said In Context.’

  20. John Seal

    Michael Foot, top man. RIP.

  21. matto

Yeah because Michael Foot never accused a fellow MP of being austic unlike Mr Osborne in reference to Mr Brown

  22. Neander

@JSwindle…you are a world-weary disillusioned Marxist. It must be tough the way that reality doesn’t conform to your ideology. But let’s not be too hard on you. If indulging in a fantasy world where Africa is concerned makes you and the other lefties on this site feel better, then go ahead and indulge. But I still think that my vision of where Africa is heading is more realistic than your fantasies. Africa will vomit out the white man, who is an alien intrusion there. And long after Marxism, or even Western liberalism, have been forgotten about, the drums will still be beating in the African bush. The spirit of Africa will prevail.

  23. Stinky

Karlo, if you can’t distinguish between tongue in cheek comments about my poor spelling and the issues i raised in my initial comment then i doubt we can converse on any useful level.

Don’t see where i am condoning polygamy, i have virtually no knowledge of the issues. But the Mail are not discussing the issues they are just sneering. If the Mail is concerned about the AIDs epidemic in Africa and womens rights (clearly not true anyway) then i would suggest they these issues in a sensible manner. But they haven’t have they? They have just taken a pop shot.

I can’t see how you can defend a publication that derides non-action on bullying then attacks potential solutions. And i put it to you that the only elements the Mail are concerned about are those connected with homophobia and racism. From what i saw of the report the register is for all forms of bullying yet the Mail get uppity about this particualar element. Care to give your opinion as to why that may be?

  24. karlo

    JSwindle

It takes one to know one – as they say.

But thanks for your intelligent contribution to democratic debate.

  25. NJH

Of course, none of Brenda’s family would ever marry more than once….

  26. JSwindle

“But thanks for your intelligent contribution to democratic debate.” karlo, are you made of irony or something?

I mean, wow, you really don’t get it do you? Intelligent debate? Having multiple wives increases the spread of AIDS? Not poking fun is equal to condoning? I’ve eaten cheese with finer reasoning than you are displaying.

Anyway, you are acting like a buffoon. Feel free to take all the offense all you want. There’s a sign on the front of this site you really should read, and plenty of well researched articles that prove the sites worth, but it seems you ARE the Daily Mail – not just a reader and are really working overtime to take commens about an awful, poisonous newspaper personally. It must be you.

No offense to actual buffons, obviously. Just the ones that act like cretins.

  27. karlo

    well JSwindle,

according to both the United Nations and Marie Stopes International : polygamy is a factor in the spread of HIV infection. But perhaps you (or your cheese) know better.

  28. Dyed Purple

Lucky this didn’t start when LittleJohn was at school, eh Daily Mail?

  29. Gav

The mail loves stories like this, see this one from November last year: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1225083/Could-child-branded-racist-next.html
That one wasn’t based on facts either.

Yes, teachers have to report all racist incidents, same as other types of bullying. What is the problem? Better that young people are challenged on this learned behaviour than it is allowed to develop.

Ah wait, because the topic is racism, that is a problem: discussion about this topic is not welcome in mail/express land as it is clearly a fictitious, entirely PC concept invented to annoy the readership of said newspapers.
