Pound against the Euro is a tad higher than a year ago – 1.10 v. 1.06. That said, what on earth are hard-working patriotic Express-reading families doing going abroad and mixing with all those nasty foreigners who don’t speak English? OK, going to Florida – um, the exchange rate is 1.49 v. 1.37 a year ago. But as the Mail dictum has it, ‘never let the facts get in the way of the story’.

The currency rates have been having small peaks and troughs for the last year or so now as TonyB says it’s hardly news, next month (when it probably will) will the Express report that the Pound has risen against the Euro and The Dollar…. No probably not.
