From the headline, I actually thought that the DE was saying it was a good thing. Then I focused on the words “NHS” and “British”. They tend to be a good indicator as to the direction of the story!
How is this a bad thing? The drugs have a limited life, they’re paid for and the NHS need the money.. so sell them on before they get trashed anyway. I doubt they make much of a profit, if any.
The NHS has a limited budget, and that’s allocated were it can do most good. There are lots of drugs out there that have minimal effectiveness or only extend life of a terminally ill patient by a few weeks, but the same money allocated elsewhere can cure dozens or (given the price of some cancer drugs) hundreds of people.
So next time the mail crows about how it’s managed to force NICE to prescribe an expensive cancer drug, I’ll wait for the other story about the many people suffering because there’s no budget for them to be treated any more thanks to it all being spent on expensive (and often ineffectual) treatments thanks to the DM.
The usual bollocks on the front page Saturday edition . According to the headline we now cannot venture outside unless we wear a face-mask because of the danger posed by the ash cloud.
This is the first paragraph:-
“PEOPLE were warned to stay indoors last night as the deadly cloud of volcanic ash that has paralysed air travel began falling on the UK.”
More Bollocks from the Express:-
“VOLCANIC ASH: BROWN ABANDONS THE ONE MILLION BRITONS STRANDED.”
“DESPERATE Britons stranded around the world by the volcanic ash cloud faced more misery last night as the crisis deepened and the Government came under fire for failing to act.”
“As experts warned the impact of the volcano could last for months, there were calls for Cobra, the Government’s emergency response unit, to swing into action to co-ordinate a rescue. But a million British Easter holidaymakers face” another night away from home.
wonder how long before the excess found a way to blame Brown for the Iceland ash…
But really what is he meant to do, send the Navy to rescue someone from hotels around the world, when those in Europe could continue home by land as the chunnel and ferries are still work (and have no doubt raised prices)
Wear a red dress and show your tittybojangles?
So the NHS sells off drugs it can’t use, for a profit.
Isn’t that a good thing….?

Tits, arse, NHS, cancer, abroad, royals
Expess Bingo!
I thought the right want things to be run as a profit.
Hopefully there really will be a royal wedding, thus providing the ideal setting for St Diana’s resurrection.
Alert! Alert! Man the warning sirens!
