The sub-headline suggests that tickets for white, Christian, hard-working, taz-paying, normal, law-abiding (except speeding tickets), Christian, normal, hard-working families will go up £264, i.e. an increase.
I’m thrilled that it won’t affect single travellers though. Hurrah for Gormless Gordon “Bottler” Stalin McBroon and his War on Families!
They could make a small indentation into the deficit by starting to tax aircraft fuel, even if it’s just for internal flights to start with. I sense this subsidy that’s been going on for decades isn’t mentioned in the article.
