Ah back to attacking labour, but still room for a bit of Clegg bashing I see. But then it’s not really a shock that a Daily Mail poll, of Daily Mail, readers don’t trust Labour though is it?
Of course the Tories would never want to see the NHS ‘broken up’ would they…..
Free World War II DVD – victory brought about by a coalition government. Amazing what happens when parties cooperate!
As for Clegg’s demand [the word used on the website, notably toned down here] that the NHS be broken up, the Mail’s own story says “In a little-noticed interview before he took over as leader, he said the party should consider a social insurance system…”. Daniel Martin, ‘journalist’ obviously has a less than keen appreciation of the English language or he’d understand the difference between considering and demanding. And if the 2005] interview was ‘little noticed’, it’s an admission that Mail journalists were asleep on the job,
The desperation emanating from Mail HQ is not a pretty sight.
Tory and Lib Dem health policies are very similar: both talking about decentralisation, removing bureaucracy, prompt treatment, patient contracts, and other vague populist announcements. Both are keeping quiet about top-up fees, which have in the past been suggested by Clegg and by various Tories (although Labour seems somewhat in favour too).
Based on the figures provided by the_hallster, the figures are so similar that if you can conclude one party isn’t trusted then neither is the other.
Conclusion: tabloid journalists cannot be trusted on statistics.
BTW what happened to the other 20%?

The NHS poll is quite funny actually -and far from conclusive.
“Labour has wasted so much money on the NHS that voters no longer believe it is safe in their hands.”
Which party would be most effective in managing the NHS?
Conservative = 27%
Labour = 26%
Dont’t know = 27%
As I say – far from conclusive…

Labour 26%
Tories 27%
I believe this is a shift from their last poll on the subject of:
Labour 28%
Tories 26%
Compelling stuff………..
Based on a poll which asked the Editor. ” what other nonsence can you print to discredit Labour”?

Rule number 1 of polling. Add on at least 10% for any long serving government.
They lose that amount, no matter what the question, just because people are sick of them.
Tories drawing with Labour on any subject, is disasterous.
1997, Labour were leading Major’s tories, on polling subjects by 20% minimum. Every subject. Even the economy and immigration
I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that the Mail did not lead with Blair Peach today. Maybe tomorrow?
Daily Mail in PR wing of tory party shocker.
News on hold, permanently.
