Wasn’t the fund BP’s idea in the first place?
Still can’t wait to see the BP staff going around the UK care homes demanding £13bn from the residents or they could just just the money from their the (excessive) profits that caused all the pension funds to invest in them, in the first place.
PS What’s the beting the next story is ‘petrol prises go up to fund YOUR pension’…. no perhpas not.
Yep, British pensioners who have taken a portfolio that includes BP shares in their pension – remember the value can do down as well as up.
If Great British White Christian Normal Law-Abiding (except speed cameras) White Normal Christian Pensioners were making a killing on BP shares, I’m sure the Mail would be just as outraged about the injustice of it all.
Don’t be silly Stevie, if you’re in the private sector you can make so much money it would cause God to vomit with rage. All those public sector people can expect a screaming mob for daring to spend a penny, of course.
The standard nonsical BS aside there’s interesting times ahead for ‘big oil’.
If the US is going to turn on them and properly regulate (as seems highly likely) we might just start to see alternatives starting to get a serious look-in.
How about BP, in coalition with the other oil companies, double the price at the pump to make up for the loss through Evil Obama’s fine? That way they can make up the shortfall for the pensioners. I’m sure the Mail would welcome that.
Poor old British pensioners. First New Labour, now Obama.
I meantersay, if a multi-national oil corporation can’t cause a multi-billion dollar environmental catastrophe from time to time without the getting a government on its back … well, whatever happen to free trade, I ask?
“Britain’s Daily Mail reported Sunday that an iPhone 4 recall was underway, but don’t believe it. The UK publication’s source was a tweet from a fake Steve Jobs Twitter account.”

Ooops. my editiing gets worse.
“The standard nonsical BS aside…”
should have read
“The standard nonsensical DM BS aside…”
I found it interesting that every offshore oil prospector in the US appears to be working from the same disaster recovery plan.
It reminds me of my school-days, if you’d had scouts or sports club on a busy homework night, you’d copy from your mates on the bus.

Do poor pensioners burn as well as oil?
Just a thought…
Only dead pensioners who make the supreme sacrifice burn just as bright.
Isn’t it about time female lady sat on a different couch?
She can sit on my couch anytime she likes.
Sorry, did I type “couch”? I meant “penis”.
Judging by the vaginal overtones of said couch I fear she may be one of those women Queen Victoria thought impossible. Still, there’s photoshop.

Shouldn’t the baby freezing story come with a warning about not trying it at home. Whatever happened to health and safety?
People…emotions… wow, it’s a must read!
I’ve only just realised the delicious irony of Dacre calling someone else a “bully”.
Love that baby’s quiff
A Mail journalist writing a story based on unverified information from a highly unreliable source? Surely not.

Yes, the Mail is mocked all round the world:
“Britain’s Daily Mail reported Sunday that an iPhone 4 recall was underway, but don’t believe it. The UK publication’s source was a tweet from a fake Steve Jobs Twitter account.”
