There has to be a foreign angle and a political issue for the govt. to use military, not civilian force. You cannot have elements of the British Army running around after criminals on the mainland. It would also be a "criminal" waste of resources given how stretched he military is elsewhere in the world. The so-called "Summer" holiday is a couple of week earlier up here in Scotland, so it's difficult to figure out the deal with English education. I'm hoping to interevene with a few "Thanks to Dave new free schools will provide all year round the clock childcare and teachers will finally earn their overvalued pensions" trolls.
