    What no ‘ethnics’ story today.

I was a little surprised at first that a violent bully like Moat could get so many floral tributes, but perhaps I was falling for the tabloid stereotype of an isolated demon.
In fact Moat had lived in the area for a long time and clearly a lot of people actually liked him and felt the need to make some gesture. Doesn’t make them evil nor lessen his crimes of course.

    What a terrible front page!

    More flowers than Saint Diana?

I sometimes feel as if I’m the only person in Britain who doesn’t have a mobile phone. I did own one once but gave it up as hardly anybody wanted to talk to me. And no, I’m not expecting any sympathy.

You could try not mentioning Islam whenever you answer unless, of course, you’re talking to telesales.

    @ JSwindle:

    LOL!

paul – i wonder if moat is on his way to becoming the new diana (flowers outside his old house, conspiracy theories about his death, a place in that corner of the express front page…)

It is my ambition to be the only person in the world that has’nt a mobile phone.
    I think i’m getting close.

Well, you wait 13 years for a Tory prime minister, then when you get one he won’t ban the burkha! Don’t you just hate it when that happens. It’s enough to make any self-respecting Express reader vote BNP.

    @ Phil:

Well said. Surely randomly banning items of clothing should be the top of any incoming government’s “To do” list???
