I see that the DM is offering discounts at Strada, Ask, Prezzo and La Tosca; the weird thing is that all of these restaurants are in my local high street. Does anyone know if they are all part of the same entity? That would be even more whacky.
Perhaps eating out is the new drinking in pubs – at least this is a little bit more civilised. In my neck of the woods we have several restaurants; my parents predicted at the turn of the millennium that they’d close during the next recession. A decade passed and we still have a proliferation of eateries.
It’s a good job the EU/PC Brigade/Health & Safety Brigade/Muslims (delete as applicable) banned sitting on fences and the DM always observes this in strict accordance – one could view this as saving the state money from the cost of his incarceration.
I haven’t read the story, but I suspect it may be ever so slightly more complex than that which fits in a tabloid headline.
