Refreshing to see a British tabloid reporting on their own industry’s unethical practices, but is it just a cynical ploy to dump all the blame on one of their number and avoid coming under too much scrutiny themselves?
They all seem to have gone for Brooks as the cover star this morning, including the Graun who’ve been pressing this far longer than anyone else. Are they still scared to depict Rupert as the high priest of media evil? Or are they still partially behind him in his never-ending quest to destroy the BBC?
As Alastair Campbell said, the MOS are going to be pushing hard to pick up the Screws readers. Bit much considering the Mail Group were the biggest hackers of the lot. Perhaps this is them, and the cunt Dacre trying to clean house before the PCC is finally wound-up and replaced by a proper impartial watchdog.
Not a very good picture of Bek. Couldn’t they find one of her on a beach wearing a thong, preferably taken at a distance using a telephoto lens? That would have been far more appropriate. (Hang on, I’m already having fantasies about that image.)
Dave C, according to Private Eye a few weeks ago, Brooks has her own private hair salon in the hollowed-out volcano she calls home in Wapping, as well as a private gym.
