Ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson is the ultimate angel in sexy lingerie shoot
(Wanted to use: fap my beauties, FAP! We WILL become the Daily Star)
(Note: Features 'hell yeah I would' not really safe for work pics)

From the this really isn't news but it will get visitors in department, the shock news that Gemma Atkinson has done a photoshoot.

Quote:
She might look the part for a Hollywood flick but she doesn't sound it. She has a horrid, deep, man's voice and as far as I remember, is a wooden actress. Still, she has got big boobs and is slim so that's all that matters, isn't it?

- Lucy, Paris, France

Yup! :D

I've just found a comment on Julie Etchingham, the Sky News presenter who said that Cameron's immigration solution is 'extermination'. Story here

Sounds like a tongue in cheek comment to me that unwittingly went out on air. The Mail however, and the readers, have decided that she is now one of the 'liberal elite'.

A crappy Mail journalist wrote:
For more than 40 years, Left-wingers in politics and the media have successfully silenced rational debate on the impact of mass migration, shouting 'racist' at anyone who dared even raise the subject.

The same crappy journalist wrote:
Mr Cameron asked for a 'grown-up conversation' about demographic change. The country has been ready for one for 40 years. What a pity the same can't be said of the liberal Left.

I know the 'oh but you did it too' argument belongs in the playground but I'm going to lay into that one. How, exactly, has the Mail been responsible for a grown up conversation? As far as I can tell, there is nothing grown up about the Mail.

I always thought that Sky News was independent and didn't favour one party or the other, but it seems they are just as leftist as the loony BBC.

Errr, is this the same 'leftist' Sky News that used to have Richard Littlejohn on for an hour every week? BTW, Wendy, I hope you've integrated into your life in Spain and know enough Spanish for most day-to-day encounters.

EDIT: link fixed

You've pasted the wrong url for the "story here" link on the first line.

Rephrased: "I wasn't aware that Sky swung either way, but since the completely unbiased, totally fair Mail that always does it's research and never gets anything wrong says it, it must be true. As a result of one presenter saying one phrase, I shall brand the whole of Sky as leftist and loony just like the BBC"

I wonder if these people geniunly believe that everyone who works at the BBC is a liberal. I mean how proposterous does that sound, especially when these very same people blabber on about an apparent lack of common sense in this country.

I was going to post about this story when it happened, but it seemed like such a tiny storm in a teacup that it wasn't worth the effort.

Just a couple of comments:
When I first heard what she said, it sounded to me that she was contributing her own view, rather than satirising Cameron's. Go back and listen to it again while bearing this in mind.
The off-mic interjection came at a point in the speech where Cameron was talking about fluctuations in the population due to internal birth and death rates, so you could equally take this as a suggestion to Cameron that we should kill old people to stop them being a burden.

I'm beginning to find the debate is actually more stymied by people claiming a martyr-esque element of 'you can't call me racist!!! deal with THAT' attitude, rather than anyone actually calling them racist.

I'm sure some idiots do call them racist (or sensible people when they are being openly racist), but it's just cheap that the Mail can say the 'Liberal establishment' as a whole has done it for 40 years. Pot, kettle, black, fucking shit rag. It's sounding scarily like the USA.

You utter, utter tosser. Just for once, perhaps, maybe, when the country you claim to love so much does something genuinely impressive, both technically* and aesthetically, could you not just accept that it's a good thing instead of whining about petty grudges and how much you don't like foreigners. I would abuse you further but since you're clearly so entirelty devoid of joy, there wouldn't really be much point. Im hope you drown in your own self-satisfied bile.

*it is technically impressive as well. There's been a smattering of article in the press over the last couple of years. There's a chunk of track essentially floating on marshland. It's really quite fascinating to read about.

I think that Wilde quote is pretty much the best summary of Mail reader-mentality.

I haven't read the article, but is the "Happy-Slapping" bit there for a reason, or is it just there because that's what teenagers do?

Particularly
[A spokeswoman for Merseyside police] described as "nonsense" reports from witnesses which claimed that Mr Croft was attacked by a gang of youths who threw a flaming piece of wood at him.

Officers particularly want to speak to people who were in the area between midnight and 1am yesterday. Detectives were keen to piece together the events leading up to the attack. Yesterday around eight police vehicles and a blue and white police tent were covering the site of the bonfire. Forensic tests and house-to-house police inquiries were taking place in the area, near the town centre.

Clean-up begins after the typhoon that never was

So why only getting warning 12 - 18 hrs before disaster strikes?

- Howard, Potters Bar

I'm no expert in sea behaviour Howard but I don't believe tidal wave behaviour takes that long to brew. In other words, you weren't warned earlier because no one knew. I may of course be wrong.

Quote:
"Why were we not warned?" - Of course we have been warned - that's what this article is about! It hasn't arrived yet... As for the warning being "only" 12 to 18 hours in advance, why do you suppose it was possible to know exactly was going to happen more than 18 hours in advance? It is likely that it has only just become apparent that the surge will be this big.

- Martin Evans, Newmarket, Suffolk

Yeah, what Martin said.

Quote:
Is this really true. Why were we not warned ?

- Mistery, Southampton

It's in the Mail, of course it's true.

My God you're a geniu.. no that's not it. You're forward thinkin.. no that's not it. You're a FIRST CLASS FUCKING CUNT. This is people's lives and homes we're talking about. Twat.
And what's that? A digs at crime surveillance. From someone in where? Philadelphia. Oh yes, the absolute crime free utopia of the world. No one ever gets murdered there. WANKER.
