errm... Pretty sure Anders Breivik had nothing to do with Iran

Or of course, those nice Christians killing other nice Christians in Ireland. Tell me Mel just where was the last massive bomb in the UK left ( and thankfully diffused) oh yes Belfast - and just what was the religion of the twats who planted it. Oh yes.

Betting can never be 'responsible'. So how can anyone possibly justify gambling lessons in schools?

Our Mel doesn't half like her absolutes.

Can never be responsible?

Better put a stop to those church and charity raffles as well as the National Lottery.

And, of course, they aren't 'gambling lessons' they are 'lessons about the dangers of gambling and how you never win'. In a PSHE module.

She just lies. Or is utterly delusional. I think it's lies, she is the Mouth of Dacre™.

I wonder if this breaches the PCC Editor's Code on the grounds of accuracy - as she has misrepresented what the DfE says it MIGHT do?

Quite like that coinage, Malc. Would this be its provenance?

Surely starting up a business or investing in stocks and shares are both a gamble, yet the Mail is all in favour of promoting the teaching of enterprise skills in in school.

Is Philips really trying to argue that the rise in teenagers having sex and taking drugs is all down to the teaching of PHSE in schools?

It's remarkable how little emphasis that places on individual responsibility.

Oh wait, no it's not.

Frozen con

Lordy! Referring to David Attenborough's claim that "If you had tried to put a camera in the wild in a polar bear den, she would either have killed the cub or she would have killed the cameraman", Mad Mel actually says:
Quote:
Well maybe so; but what kind of an excuse is that? What if, during last summer's riots, broadcasters had arrived in an area after the looting had finished -- and had then got some young people to put on hoodies and smash a few more windows so they could film them?

What if it footage of, say, a war reporter pictured running the gauntlet of roadside bombs in Afghanistan had actually been filmed in a mocked-up sandpit in Shepherd's Bush? What would be the reaction if the producer had then justified this on the grounds that actually filming in Afghanistan would have got the film crew killed, but that telling viewers it was filmed in Shepherd's Bush would have ruined the atmosphere because after all – come on! -- they were making movies?

Right on Mel - it would be like a DM 'reporter' inviting a load of Poles around for a chat and a photo-op', then claiming her street had become over-run with the job-stealing, benefits-scrounging, house-squatting, council queue-jumping forrin bastards...

It wasn't news and they said on the website what they'd done.

Next?

There is absolutely no logic or reason in that - none at all.

Never mind that - what if they'd done it in a mosque?

Better get some prohibitive regulation round the city of London too.

Now that's ridiculous, everybody knows that the Taliban have banned Mosques in Afghanistan.
