Give Cameron some help, urges Tory grandee Lord Tebbit
By Daily Mail Reporter

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/electio ... ebbit.html

Quote:
But he also stressed the British parliamentary system was 'robust and fit for purpose'

Quote:
Lord Tebbit claimed that as an elderly peer 'tarred and discredited' by having been chairman of 'that nasty Thatcherite party', he had 'little influence'.
He added: 'Nor do I think I could do much to improve upon the campaign which has been so masterfully planned and executed by David's team of young people.
'However, for what it is worth, I will try to offer some hints from my memories of those days when only 13 or 14 million electors voted Conservative.'

Full disclosure: It is my earnest and sincere belief that the man is an arsehole.

Not only an arsehole, but one who doesn't even realise the distinction between himself and his elbow. Superb job at running the campaign by Camerons team? Hmm, now lets compare those poll figures from 6 months ago to what they are now...

Wikiquote led me to this piece of info regarding The Tebbit:

* The interviews and profiles marking Norman Tebbit's 70th birthday all quote Michael Foot's description of him as a "semi-house-trained polecat". None, however, has seen fit to mention a story which suggests that Foot may have been too kind by half.

During a parliamentary debate in the late 1970s, Tebbit noticed the leftwing Labour MP Tom Litterick, who had recently returned to the house following heart surgery.

"Go away and have another heart attack!" the polecat yelled across the chamber. Litterick did so, fatally, soon afterwards.

Nice bloke.

Also, this thread still does not have enough Spitting Image.

You think Tebbit has ever done humour?

I have never encountered such vile unpleasant comments as are to be found on this forum. You think it's nice to call a man who's wife was crippled by terrorists a c**t. You people need to find more positive ways of channeling your aggression.
Incidentally how do you explain how the DM has the second biggest readership in the UK ?

When people express views which could see them be portrayed as "somewhat cuntish", then they should be prepared to deal with it, whatever may have happened in his private life, and I doubt anyone on here would feel anything but sympathy for that particular issue.

The quality of trolls is improving, at least we don't see lions in the avatar this time.

A Troll?? Well I suppose given the language prevalent on here that is almost complimentary.

I hold no real esteem for the DM just find it amusing that so many on here are so angry about it. You need to chillax...

Your opinions are your own, and while I may disagree with you, I totally respect your right to them. I won't call you a troll if you're actually interested in a debate (or even an argument). I like that we can have people on here who don't agree with us. Welcome.

All that said, use the word "chillax" again and I'll be petitioning the moderators to ban you. And possibly hunt you down with dogs. That word, and other compound words, are a crime against humanity on a par with the cluster bomb and the scotch egg.

Well to be brutally honest, someone who rocks up on an internet forum and immediately starts arguing the toss on everything they can tends to end up being labelled as such, and it's basically what you did. If you actually came here for civil debate, then fair enough, welcome.

Might I suggest less of an eagerness to "rock the boat" with future posts? After all, the first line of your first post does read...

Which indicates to me that you haven't arrived with good will high on your list of priorities.

Quite frankly I think it is right that people should get angry when a newspaper tells willful lies that cause genuine damage to the country and it's population.

"You think it's nice to call a man who's wife was crippled by terrorists a c**t."

I don't think anyone thinks it's nice to call him a cunt, but it's not like it's an opinion completely devoid of grounding in reality. His wife's injuries are completely immaterial to the debate in any case, and citing them is naught but an appeal to emotion.

Or is it the case that now you aren't allowed to slag anyone off for anything if they, or anyone belonging to them has ever been hurt, in any way, by terrorists or criminals, ever?
