IN FEMAIL TODAY...
* GIVE US SIZE 16!: Janet Street Porter leads the criticism over fashion's sizismwhich is odd, as "lead[ing] the criticism" seems to look an awful lot like writing the same article as inumerable female columnists have for years.
and falling into all of it's lazy trappings as well...

Real women have legs that are thicker at the top. We have bums that actually stick out. And we have busts, not two bee-stings on the front of our chests, nestling on top of a set of ribs. I must have ribs and a waist somewhere, but I haven't seen them for 30 years!
yes, the sensible way to go about this debate is by simply bitching at thin people.

can we cut out this "real woman" rubbish, that's just all women.
being a size 8 (which, outside of the teenage market, it is also hard to buy clothes for) doesn't make me any less of a woman than a 12, 14, or 16. also, for the record, this doesn't mean my breasts are "bee stings", or that you can see my ribs. clothes sizing and hight/weight distribution is a subtel and complicated thing, clearly more than jsp could get her head around.
