Of course they do.

What's his source for this rubbish?

Perhaps they've risen by one degree where they don't operate too.

The warming was particularly pronounced at night. Zhou says the warming was caused primarily by vertical mixing of the air, rather than as a direct result of friction as air passes over the turbines' blades: the movement of the turbines is mixing the cooler ground-level air with warmer air higher up.

Despite the warming effect identified by his team, Zhou points out that the region overall has not got significantly warmer since 2003. This suggests that the wind farms are not having a big effect on regional climate.

He is also keen to emphasise that wind power remains an important part of the solution for tackling climate change. "Maybe we could modify wind turbines or simply think about where we put them, so as to minimise their impact. This research is just the first step."

Axel Kleidon of the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany, says: "Wind turbines have to be part of the solution, but it would be naive to think that they don't have an impact. Balancing the impacts of various technologies is key to tackling climate change."

and probably because the twat in the BWM behind you, driving like a looney has been behind the wheel for considarably more than 5 mins...............but hey he's a go-getter earning stupid money for fucking people over so its OK....bloody 'elf and safety hindering the wealth creating sprirt!

Sorry just been on the M1 and witnessed such twatish behaviour.............so fuck off Littlejohn with your stupid remarks

I can actually imagine Littlejohn as one of those people, they're the best advert for needing his hated speed cameras. Driving along the A50 from Stoke to Nottingham there's a 40 mile stretch of dual carriageway with no cameras. If you have the temerity to enter the outside lane whilst doing less than 90mph you have some arsehole in an Audi on your bumper within seconds, throwing their hands in the air and doing that expression that Littlejohn is doing on the front of his book.

Surely there must be better things to do at 2am in Lanzarote?

At last Richie has done some research for an article, I guess he just needs to have an interest/morbid fascination in the topic...

Preparing a Pete Townshend defence?

Despite the fact an expert said it was impossible for Gareth Williams to have got into the bag and locked himself in all by himself, Richie still seems to think he could have done. As for his salary he would've been on quite a bit more than the starting salary given that he'd been working for MI6 for a few years - and ever heard of credit cards, Rich?

This just annoys me because I knew Gareth when he was a child (we weren't close friends as he was a few years younger than me and also he was very quiet and not particularly sociable) and knew his family a little and to keep dragging this out and speculating about his proclivities helps no one. People in my home town are appalled at the way some section of the press have treated this story. This comment sums it up for me:

Quote:
This article is insensitive, cruel and entirely speculative. You have no idea how much he was earning - he was a PhD qualified cryptographer, not a computer analyst. You have no idea if his parents knew about his behaviour, they were more likely to be embarrassed that the details will attract journalists like you to write titillating stories. Your attempt to smear him and suggest that the money came from illicit sources and comment that 'minor operative could have been discretely dumped into the Thames' are disgusting. Finally, you do not show any interest in getting to the truth how a smart and decent man died, you would rather make up your own story and present it as truth. You should be ashamed of yourself.

He's dismissed what is really inexplicable to me. Even a day's unexpected absence would be noticed, even if not seen as a cause for concern. Two days or more without someone making enquiries is inconceivable.

I'd love to see his evidence for that.

Worthy of a complaint to the PCC - accuracy.

I can't believe that I still find myself surprised at how much of an arsehole Littlejohn can be.

So, as usual, sod the inquiry and experts - he's decided what the "most likely" explanation is.

He really is like the stupid kid at the back of the classroom that he's compared himself to in the past, sat giggling away to himself when everyone else knows when you need to either be serious, or just keep your flipping mouth shut.

I wonder how many days Richie would have to go missing for before staff at the Mail raised the alarm? If he was eventually found lying at the bottom of his swimming pool with a stomach full of scotch eggs how would the Mail break the news to his loyal readers that he was a complete fraud who spent more time living in America than in this country?
