The thing is, writers such as Littlejohn know that most people don't know the actual combination of social, financial and foreign policies that go up to make fascism (myself included, but I'm working on it). But these writers know that everyone knows we fought a war against some fascists, so they must be really really bad.

Ergo, adding a complicated term like "Fascist" to a simplistic term like "the Left" is more or less the same as drawing horns on someone's picture. Instant, easy demonisation.

Same, really, as that hysterical idiot Melanie Phillips referring to the supposed favourable treatment of Muslims in England as a "Trotskyite conspiracy" with all the panache of a thirteen-year-old throwing around big words they picked up off their history teacher.

Although i hate Labour, i hate the DM's hypocrisy about them. it's like whatever Labour do, it's never good enough for the DM. if they put the middle classes on the payroll, they're trying to "woo" them and the DM is cynical about it... but if they DIDN'T put them on the payroll, the DM would probably whinge about labour discriminating against the middle classes and Littleknob would probably write a column about labour favouring "poofters" and gypsies over those nice white middle class families.

If Tony Blair healed the sick with his touch, calmed the stormy waters, turned water into wine and raised the dead back to life, the Daily Mail and Littlecock would still hate him. What will happen to Littleknob's world when Tony and Cherie Blair are no longer in Downing street?...what will he write about? Gordon Brown is not such an easy target as Blair. I spite of Littledick and the Mail whinging about "hard-pressed taxpayers", Brown's tax-take is STILL less than it was under Thatcher and Major (especially for the worst-off). Brown's wife pretty much keep's herself to herself and doesn't get up the nose of anyone. Perhap's he could attack Brown on interest rates, mortgage rates, and the economy. After all, compared to the financial golden age of Britain under Major, Lamont and Clarke....err!

Ignoring the fact that last week the Mail was claiming class didn't exist, surely one of the distinguishing factors of the middle classes is that they are likely to hold white collar professional jobs such as teachers, doctors, nurses, who tend to work in state schools and NHS trusts.

Working class jobs tend to be with private companies, and even more so since the Tories insisted that the NHS, schools and councils put out services to tender, such as cleaning, road works, refuse collection. A lot of lower paid (C2 jobs being working class) clerical jobs went out to private companies too, a lot of London boroughs started sending their housing benefit and council tax benefit claims to be processed by Capita.

Sorry, I'm applying reality to the situation again.

Awwww the ickle Daily Heil and their chief columnist John Littledick are sticking up for the working classes
Can the DAily Heil really talk about giving a shit about white working classes when they are obsessed with 'Chav' culture.

My favourite part of the British National Poovery story is the Mirror say the BNP are 'anti-gay' if only there was a better word.

"The trouble with you, Spode, is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you're someone. You hear them shouting 'Heil, Spode!' and you imagine it is the Voice of the People. That is where you make your bloomer. What the Voice of the People is saying is: 'Look at that frightful ass Spode swanking about in footer bags! Did you ever in your puff see such a perfect perisher?'"
—Bertie Wooster speaking to Spode in The Code of the Woosters

I love P. G Wodehouse, he's summed it all up already

It's Tuesday, and that means Littlejohn, or rather "Call David Cameron Call Me Dave"!

On hating Scottish people:
Quote:
More and more people are asking why we should be governed by ministers who sit for Scottish constituencies. Yet Labour still relies on the scottish block vote to foist tuition fees and suchlike on the English, even though none of it applies in Jolly Jocko Land

Quote:
Gordon Brown is confiscating money from the South of England and tipping it into a black hole in the North

Boo for income redistribution!

Quote:
In some areas north of the Humber, 60% of workers are dependent on the state for their wages. Most of the rest are on benefits - a bit like Scotland, actually
#

On Muslims:
Quote:
The DVLA says its stuff must be more sensitive in dealing with Muslims. That might explain why they refused to release Prince Naseem Hamed's motoring convictions to the court which jailed him

Anyone willing to back up the assertions in the two above quotes?

On Africans:
Quote:
Gordon Brown says that at £8.5bn, the country can't afford to replace the link between pensions and earnings. Coincidentally, that's almost exactly the amount of money he's just given to Africa in exchange for having his photograph taken with Nelson Mandela. So we can afford to buy limos nad weapons for African tyrants, but we can't afford to put a few pennies in the pockets of our pensioners

You know, Littledick, the whole aid money being spent on dictators has generally been rejected as bollocks recently. One report said that money given directly to a government helps development more than other types of grants & concessions.

****ASYLUM SEEKER ALERT****
*zooms into article*
Quote:
It's not just that Afghan airliner, it's Britain which has been hijacked by people who think all the world's problems should be laid at our door and have made his country the number one destination for foreign terrorists

What's he got against Scotland now?

Also, "a black hole in the north" - what, like there's nothing there? It is a barren deserted wasteland, Captain! They are quite literally pouring money into an actual black hole!

Conclusion: Richard Littlejohn needs to shut up forever.

Don't you get it.....Littlejohn is writing for people who really think that the borders of Great Britian stretch from Folkestone in the East to Portsmouth in the West and from Watford in the North to Bognor in the South. "Up North" is a dreary, grey place inhabited by unintelligible, illiterate, savage oiks and dark-skinned types, and they all eat black-pudding and steal from each other, while scrounging benefits from decent, white home counties, hard-pressed tax-payers. And as for Scotland, well they're like northerners, except even more savage, illiterate and unintelligible. Scotland has never put anything into the Union (with the exception of countless dead soldiers and £250billion of oil revenue...but we wont mention that) and has to be subsidised by the afforementioned hard-pressed home counties tax-payers. After all, why should Scottish MPs sitting in the UK parliament be allowed to become prime ministers...it's not as if England (ie the South-East) would ever foist unpopular, unwanted and even hated prime ministers on the rest of the UK..(well Mrs Thatcher, but we won't mention that.)

If LittleJohn wants the UK to disintegrate into it's constituent countries, and for England to be a divided country, suspicious of it's neighbours and isolated and ignored by the rest of Europe, then he's going the right way about it. The Wanker.
