How about having an expat of the day?

I propose this chump:

Migrant numbers double in 30 years: One in ten living in the UK is now foreign-born

Quote:
The reason I and millions like me left.

Those one in ten aren't contribution the the wealth and growth of the UK but a drain on society.

I 'd like to know the proportion of males and females it seems to me the majority of immigrants are male 20 to 40 years of age which is creating future problems for the balance of the British population.

- Gary, Marbella, 9/12/2009 6:49

I wonder if Gary is fluent in Spanish and enriching Marbellan society. Maybe he's male, between 20 and 40, creating future problems for the balance of the Spanish population.

Why don't you all just go like you've been threatening to? I'm sure we'd all be happier without your constant racist moaning.

And to all those whiners commenting from other countries: It's none of your business any more.

Don't fancy my chances of getting that in, to be honest.

All the comments made between 8am and 11am seem to have been bypassed on that story, so it looks like the ones we made won't be in there.

It's been estimated that over 5.5 million British people are living abroad.

This is one chief reason I left the UK and decided not to return. There are simply too many Brits who are not capable of rational thought (especially when it comes to politics), and I simply didn't see the need to suffer the consequences of their decisions any longer than I had to.

Britain is finished. I knew this years ago - but it would seem this is still news to some...

The flaw in that particular argument's universal applicability is that from 1979 to 1992, the fucking window-licking bastards didn't vote the way they should have - to my way of thinking - either. But I didn't fucking decamp to Havana. Though sometimes I wish that I had.

What a massive, dripping cunt Oliver the Ex-Pat is.

This is my nomination for expat of the day:

Icy weekend ahead slashes odds on a white Christmas

Quote:
Do another unusually mild Winter for the UK in line with previous unusually mild Winters predicted by the Met Office, and that sizzling BBQ Summer?

- John Bowman, Sarlat, France, 10/12/2009 9:43

OK, points for complaining that the British summer wasn't how he wanted it, despite living in France.

Quote:
So another unusually mild Winter for the UK like the previous ones predicted by the Me Office, and following that sizzling BBQ Summer?

You would think the people at the Met Office would know when to come in out of the rain.

- John Bowman, Sarlat, France, 10/12/2009 9:45

Hello, same comment again with extra "straight to the point" style comment.

Quote:
"If the met office knockers knew any thing about meteorology they'd know how difficult it is to forecast the weather for the UK..."

Not so. The Met Office inists it KNOXS what the weather is going to be like as far out as 2100 and it is going to be disastrous, so we must stop global warming now!

- John Bowman, Sarlat, France, 10/12/2009 9:47

Hello again. Bad spelling and climate change denial. Awesome!

One of these days I'm going to get "Weather =/= Climate" tattooed on my fist. Maybe that will get the message across.

It's not even like it's a particularly hard concept to grasp. You could even use a bad analogy comparing it to not being able to know the exact result of each of Manchester United's games but knowing they'll almost certainly finish in the top 4 of the league come the end of the season, which everyone basically accepts.

I had to read that 4 times and it still makes no sense.

BTW when did 'Winter' and 'Summer' become propper nouns.
