As a freelance reporter she should make a fortune claiming mileage allowance between London and Florida every other week.

It's the end of an era... Georgina has left the building!
Image

Let's take a moment to marvel at Georgina's remarkable journalistic output on her last day of chasing scoops (sorry, I mean refreshing her Twitter feed) at Northcliffe House:
'I should imagine it would be lovely': Keira Knightley thinks she would really enjoy working with her fiancé James Righton
Setting the record straight: Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green enjoy an amorous day by the pool in Ibiza (and make those split rumours look a bit silly)
'I hope we can all now move on': Lily Allen accepts a floral apology from 'racist' soldier after Twitter spat
'No point hanging out with Brits': Cat Deeley won't socialise with English people in Los Angeles- but says she misses the food
Swim with me, Mummy! Jessica Alba and daughter Honor cool off from the sun and take a dip in the pool with their snorkels
Lindsay Lohan's extensions take their toll as she emerges with a bald patch and looking washed-out after 'sleepover' with Lady Gaga
The thigh's the limit for Geri Halliwell as she hits a nightclub in sexy over-the-knee boots
Must be any day now! A heavily-pregnant Elizabeth Berkley looks ready to pop as she dines out with her husband

Yes, that's eight super soaraway articles in a single day, all contributing to the betterment of mankind in the way we've come to know and love from the Littlejohn family and MailOnline. What a legacy, eh?

She probably earned as much for that as any of us here gets in a month.

She's not sodding off, she's going freelance. It pays better.

Again, I wouldn't be so sure. She might have to rely on her talent to get work now, rather than her name.

Come come, how many Mail journalists rely on their talent?

Must be bloody galling for other freelancers like yr gd self, though, that her name will get her work. That and the fact that she specialises in crap Polly Filler stuff.

It's like Les Dawson's piano playing. Do you have to be good to be that bad?

Good question. I don't think so, in her case. I think she's working at her own limits. If you look at her Tweets there's no sign of self-awareness that would suggest that she can write parody, or even with that sort of knowing irony that someone like Simon Hoggart manages with ease.

I don't even think it's parody/irony. It's a particular mindset that I could never hope (nor want) to emulate.

I think you are looking for the word 'dumb'. Restricted in scope and vision.

I wonder if she has any ambitions to do anything more significant?

On the money she gets, I doubt it.

I guess.
But at some, basic level she's creative. She must want better from her life than this. Even if it's a crap novel like what Daddy wrote.
