Should there not be a section on this forum where the most ridiculous comment of the day contenders can be posted?
Just look at this beauty from today's article here:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... dress.html

Muslims can have a say but not us. I thought this was a free speach country.

It's not so much a comment of the day though.

Well, this may actually be a useful place to point out the notable (but not necessarily COTD-worthy) comments:
Quote:
WE ARE BEING RIPPED OFF BY THE BANKS POWER COMPANIES SUPERMARKETS LOCAL AND CENTRAL GOVERMENT ECT ECT, SO ITS GOING TO BE RETIRE AT SEVENTY YRS IE WORK UNTIL YOU DROP AND WHERE ARE THE JOBS GOING TO COME FROM A LOT OF THEM HAVE GONE ABROAD WHILE PEOPLE FROM ABROAD HAVE FLOCKED HERE AND OVER POPULATED BRITAIN, DO NOT VOTE FOR THE LAB, LIB, CON, TRICK THEY ARE HAND IN GLOVE WITH THE MULTINATIONAL BANKS AND COMPANIES, I AM NOT A SOCALIST BUT SYSTEM IS MAKING THE RICH RICHER AND THE POOR POORER.
- paul., britain. once was nice., 10/8/2010 12:29

being just one example!

Anyone that uses the phrase "Lib Lab Con" is twonk in my book. They are also more than likely a supporter of the BNP.

I've replied to that one, somewhere along the lines of "Good. If the children are afforded a comfortable upbringing, rather than being punished for their parent's mistakes, they stand a far better chance of becoming productive members of society". We shall see if that makes it past the mods.

Having spelt safety incorrectly in the post quoted above by Big Vern, Wind in the Willows corrects himself with this.

Quote:
Sorry to upset you all by saying the Spanish Roads are dangerous, I =have driven through Spain. There are no barriers to stop you from going over the top and the roads are very narrow as you probably would have noticed all along the roads these small plaques in memory of th people that have gone over. Slip of the finger I ment there Health and Safety.

All this nonsense of these lazy benefit scroungers lying in bed all day should be stopped. Give them a card and make them have to 'clock in' at the benefit office each morning. I'm sure something could be rigged up that takes a photo when the card is inserted, so they know the face matches the card details. Then make it compulsory they do a minimum of 30 hours a week community work. No reason why they can't at least 'earn' their benefits in some way.

Phew! Glad this is only happening in New Zealand!

Well, that should sort out unemployment in NZ, given the number of extra staff the benefit office will have to employ to organise and supervise community service and check the photos. The trouble is, once it has solved unemployment, they'll have to make all the extra staff redundant.
