Phibbs is a shill for whoever greases his palm. His recent complete bollocks on tobacco packaging probably came courtesy of a few free cartons of B&H

Scrap the tax: British business finally begins to fight back

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/artic ... z1nwv08mY0

Quote:
It is no use politicians talking as if all rich people were criminals whose wealth should be plundered by the state and at the same time expecting firms to set up in business in the UK. While the Conservatives have been anxious to sound just as anti capitalist as the Labour Party we have had a situation where the capitalists themselves have kept their heads down ... Already the richest 1% contribute 28% of income tax revenue. Trying to fleece them more is proving counterproductive. Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged where the hard working and creative have simply had enough of being burdened down and leave has started to become reality ... At last Britain's wealth creators are getting up off their knees. If the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne wants a return to strong economic growth he should stop playing politics and accept their case.

Yes everyone should read Ayn Rand including those people who are thinking of a profession in the armed services, as well as those people who expect that the military are worthy of handjobs.

Let's all think of ourselves and our families as selfish individuals/individual groups who are looking out for our own self interests.

What? We already do? Then why the hypocrisy?

How much wealth do your 1% have, Harry? What happened when they got big tax cuts in America?

The richest 1% contribute 28% of the tax revenue because tax is proportional. All that shows is that they must be making an absurd amount of money.

That suspicious rise in Livingstone's vote between 2004 and 2008 was down to Lindsey German's vote collapsing. I've posted that already somewhere but can't find it.

Incredible bad. He seems to think the dispute is in the public sector. And he reckons it's OK to store petrol at home because it's his right. The FBU are lefties, ignore them. They know nothing about fires.

Dave should not be sceptical of 'loud ideology', it worked for Mrs Thatcher

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/artic ... z1uHsaPcrP

Quote:
David Cameron needs to show Conservatives that he does have an ideological spur. That he wants to make the state smaller and increase individual freedom. Thus far the spending cuts have been too modest to allow room for overall tax cuts.

Quote:
Conservatives believe in freedom not just to boost economic production but because freedom is morally superior. That is an ideology that Conservatives should be loud and proud in proclaiming.

Isn't it lucky that allowing Phibbs and his mates to do what they want is morally superior to the alternatives?
