Roger's really excelled himself today, unless it's someone here messing about and I've missed the joke.

Cameron forced into humiliating climb down over NHS reforms as Lib Dems threaten to rebel

This is a disgrace, Cameron has a clear mandate to privatise the NHS and sack all the moaning jobsworths. Why on earth should normal people have to pay for a service that nobody wants? Privatise it and make it free.

Surely if it's private, we'd have to pay anyway? Like we do with the trains? except there we pay both with subsidies and upfront fares.

Why do I get the impression that Roger spends an inordinate amount of time in a room with the curtains pulled, with him crouching in a corner, shaking uncontrollably, hands cupping his ears, eyes swivelling from side to side, lips pulled back in a tight grimace?

Well exactly - but this is Roger we're talking about.

You and I both know that Cameron promised to put a stop to top-down reorganisation in the NHS and that many citizens rely on the NHS which is generally well-loved. Judging by the tenor of your comment you really should calm down a little. Take yourself out of that darkened room for a change and go for a walk. It's spring.

Libertairians will explain to you that there are 2 types of free.

There's "Free Beer" - which is bad since (they claim) you din't appreciate anything you didn't work for.

Then there's the free that they consider good, which seems to amount to being unencumbered by regulations that prevent powerful or monopolistic organisations shafting us something rotten.

The census article? Indeed. And unmoderated too, so plenty of chance to post a rebuttal.
