There are so many blatant examples of this on a daily basis in the comment sections:

You are really losing the Plot over there with Health and Safety. when we were kids the best part of winter when it snowed was getting the sledge out. we couldn't feel our hands most of the time because of the cold but it didn't matter it was just great fun

... being a classic. I figured we could use this thread to mock the more obvious and ridiculous attempts

Is this the same as our stuff about exPats ( :P ) or actual foreigners? It would be quite difficult to prove whether they are pretend or not.

Still, it certainly fucks me off.

I think that it's brilliant to suggest that people living in all parts of the world, subject to natural disasters, virulent diseases, totalitarian regimes and crumbling infrastructure; still find time to check out the Daily Mail website and go "Gee, those Eengleesh with their conkers and safety goggles, what are they like?".

I always find ex-pats who post comments about how glad they are that they no longer live in Britain funny. If life is so great Spain or Portugal why do these people waste so much time reading the Daily Mail on-line and making stupid comments?

Because they haven't bothered to learn Spanish/Portuguese and so can't read the local papers?

Rex Phillips, NASUWT Wales Organiser, said: ‘The outcome of today’s hearing demonstrates that employers are far too ready to sack teachers who have acted in good faith. This is a victory for common sense.’

Even unions are better than health and safety.

Doesn't sound like a sacking offence but this ex-pat has a point.

How the story changes!! Yesterday he was the victim of over zealous Health and Safety jobsworths and I really sympathised with him. Today it emerges he defied a direct instruction from his Head not to take the children on the snow and then tried to lie his way out of it. "Pure as driven snow" certainly does not apply to him!! Fire a teacher for trying to make a lesson interesting? NO!! Fire a teacher for dispobeying a direct instruction and then lying aout it? YES!!

You can well imagine a teacher saying "don't take the kids out in the snow, the others will badger the teachers all the time and fuck about".

I wonder if the tube driver sacked for breaching health and safety (by opening the wrong door for 2 seconds and not recording it) would get the same sympathy from the Mail.
