in the bedroom and kitchen I’m a consummate professional

-sick bag smiley-

I think I'd like to see a Question Time (or pub carpark brawl) with Julie Bindel and this woman :o

I wouldn't. I'd give up within two minutes and kill myself.

It's still making money, why should they stop?

The Mail is probably trying to arrange it as I write. Bitchfight! Bitchfight! This is why we can't give women responsibilities.

I think I'd rather see Pascal (Brick's grunting boyfriend, not the philosopher) versus James Delingpole, with round one a pitting of wits and round two involving Pascal's impressive collection of firearms.

Pascal could have Delingpole using only his mustache.

That mustache is a veritable Gaston Bachelard and Marcel Cerdan combined.
I wouldn't be surprised if it has its own gravitational field.

Did Cerdan have a moustache?

Pascal is starting to remind me of a certain leather-trousered, half-naked-lady-ornamented connoisseur of caledonian oviforms.

Is it just me, or does the hubby look really unimpressed by this whole thing? What's the betting that we get a "he left me because I'm an old hag" story within the nect 12 months?

Now you're being picky Ez! Boxers don't have mustaches...

Pascal reminds me of the slightly middle-aged slightly paunchy French geezer who has bought a big motorbike and thinks everyone admires him for it.

I saw one in a café send back his cutlery and get a flcik knife out to cut up his steak. Honestly...

And people say the French don't have a word for poseur.

Hullo Badger - long time no see.

Sorry, it's a bad habit.

You'll be shocked to learn that I don't know anything about boxing — indeed, I don't think I could name five boxers ever. However, Cerdan was the great hero of the pieds-noirs, and thus on my father's side of the family he's a demi-god. I believe I stand to inherit more than one biography. There's also a statue of him near where I used to live in Paris. I did have to check that he was whiskerless, but I had a doubt!

I knew Bachelard had a soup-absorbing beard, but upon investigation it turns out that he had a corker on the top lip too:

That sounds like the behaviour of a Beauf

Yup. Had one a while back shouting and gesticulating because I was driving with my lights on. In a Volvo...

I always thought they were 'bofs'.

Beauf is short for beau-frère (brother-in-law). Just as everyone in England is supposed to have a racist Daily Mail-reading uncle, in France everyone has a racist brother-in-law who wears a vest in summer, drinks Kro from the can, and spends most weekends tuning his motorbike.

Pascal might be more of a plouc — a huntin' fishin' shootin' stone-age yokel.
