If you want to plug your company in the Daily Mail, why not commission a pointless survey? Apparently Mailites can't resist reading about every trivial aspect of their own dismal, predictable lives. Here are some fascinating things I learned today:

From a survey about friendship:

From a survey of female dog owners:

And from a survey of families who play video games:

I really hope that the motto of the last company is "PopCap - In yo' ass"

Surveys in the Sun usually revolve around something to tittilate the Masturbating Masses (the extermist fringe of the Herd) for example, I remember one said that 25% of the population has had group sex. My mate at work quoted this one lunch time in the tea room at work. There were four of us in the room at the time

"I havent"

"neither have I"

"or me"

Then unison to the other person in the room "it must be you then!!"

This produced the reply

"piss off you pervs!!"

Who makes all this bollocks up?

I missed most of it, but IKEA have launched a TV ad campaign which seemed to involve chucking laptops out of bedroom windows. Funny that...

Well who'd have thought the first day back after the weekend would be the most miserable day of the week.

Honestly, there is something (sort of) in that most depressing day of the year stuff, but I think you'll struggle to find people who readily look forward to Mondays. Even Geldof hated them.

This sounds like an opening shot of the CBI's "War on holidays".

The CBI seems to be conducting a guerrilla campaign on several fronts. Aided and abetted by the Dacres of Fleet Street.
