Women worry that they are fat three times a day, scientists reveal (is that ALL?)

Quote:
'It's staggering that such a large proportion of men and women find themselves worrying about their weight every day.

'And it's worrying that as many as 80 per cent are actually depressed by the appearance of their bodies.'

'I'm not going to kill myself at the gym if someone calls me fat!' Claire Richards shows off her curves in skinny jeans as she insists she's happy with her weight

Umpteenth article expressing 'concern' about the weight of a middle-aged woman who was barely famous in the 1990s and is now about an average size for her age.

Quote:
She has faced criticism in the past from people over her weight gain.
Cough fucking cough.
Quote:
The most offensive comments Claire was subjected to included: 'Claire looks like she's eaten the rest of Steps' and 'Stop shoving pasties in your gob'.
It's absolutely necessary to republish these comments just so we can agree how nasty they are.

Meanwhile, the pictures above that last paragraph are captioned: "Now and then: Claire has put on some considerable weight since she first became a pop star back in 1996". A polite way of saying she's fat.

Awaiting the comments, which will doubtless be very different from the "faceless bullies" on twitter.

'When the sun comes out, the slimeballs come out!' Imogen Thomas complains of unwanted attention... as she spills out of bikini top

She's known for her attention-seeking ways and often 'just happens' to be spotted in a bikini by paps.
And yesterday afternoon was no different for Imogen Thomas as she suggestively licked an ice lolly while showing off her curves in a string bikini.

Quote:
And to garner even more looks she sat on a park bench in the sun with a friend as she toyed with the lolly in her mouth.[related] :?

What are you staring at? Scientists reveal how our brain sees men as people, but women as body parts (and it's not just men who do it)

Rent-a-misogynist in the comments.

I suppose it's different when you are insulting a British Sporting Hero - string 'em up, flog 'em.

Anyone else, well that's just "banter" isn't it? Or freedom of speech.

They called themselves a "family website" yesterday, while showing a pic of a Chinese child being stamped on in another article, plus of course an endless array of women in their underwear, some of which were lifted directly from "men's magazines". Pretty sure they've direct linked to Iranian public hangings in the past too :?

Quote:
What happens next is too graphic to show on a family website, but stills of the recording reveal a pile of corpses where the men had knelt.

Apparently she runs an animal sanctuary down in Sussex these days, in a Bardot style… except she's not as mental.

I've seen the Website. Needs a bit of work doing to it.

The mail complains about Morrissey likening the patriotism shown in the olympics to nazism....

'The spirit of 1939 Germany pervades through Britain': Angry Morrissey attacks patriotic response to Team GB Olympic success by comparing support to Nazism

While letting one of its columnists make a similar point.

Hitchens wrote:
nd that makes me suspicious. What is this strange cult? In the end, the Olympics is nothing more than a large athletics meeting.

Before Hitler and Dr Goebbels made it into a torch-lit and grandiose spectacle, you could be in the same city as the Games and barely notice.

Are we really that interested? And if we are, are we interested for good reasons?

Personally, I find it very odd that large crowds have turned out in the street to see a glorified pilot light carried about in a large cheese-grater.

Even odder is the fact that there has been no fuss at all about the appalling treatment of a boy on a bicycle who had the temerity to ride alongside the procession in Haverhill, Suffolk, on Saturday, July 7.

It is hard to see from the film, but he looks about 12 to me. As he comes level with the portly torch-bearer, he is seized by a baseball-capped ‘Torch Guard’, spun round, clasped by the neck, thrown to the ground, almost in front of a moving car in the procession, which visibly brakes hard, pinned down on the road and finally hustled on to the pavement. You’d think he’d tried to assassinate the Monarch, not ridden his bike too close to the Goebbels flame.

I can’t see much difference between the behaviour of the ‘Torch Guard’ and that of the menacing Chinese goons we all disliked so much four years ago when they escorted Dr Goebbels’s candle round the world.

Although it could be the case that the rest of the mail are now ignoring Hitchens....

Too funny....
