The UKIP cyber team are on to this.

My previously reasonable green ratings have been fragged by these turds.

Perhaps, it is about time to give them a measure of what they have given to us.

A measure of what they have given to us, eh? You know if you erase cookies you can arrow the same comment again and again as you usurp Dacre's democracy?

I know, but it takes time for one person to down vote an article 300 times. But if he wants to give the impression that so many Mail readers are humourless twats, why should we worry?

I have noticed on my Mail registration page where during the course of a day a post might be 30 in the green but overnight it changes to 20 in the red. I assumed it was the mods playing silly buggers.

There is a certain type of Mailtard that pays a ludicrous amount of attention to arrows. You see them commenting how the fact that they've got a 98 green arrows means that they must be right, when all it means is that they've found 98 other Mailtards, which is hardly surprising on the Mail Online website. Or, if the arrows aren't going the way they like, you get them absolutely convinced that people like the BBC and Labour employ legions of expensive PR people whose sole job is to spend all day clicking on arrows. They seem incapable of working out that actually the likes of us regard it as a badge of honour to get a high score in the reds, and that the reality is that no political party gives a damn because the chances of one single vote being gained or lost by virtue of the colour of the arrows on this website are virtually non-existent.

Indeed. The arrow system on Mail Online is roughly the equivalent of putting a mirror in a budgie's cage for it to peck the fuck out of.

As a test, I've posted on one of the rare interesting articles. There's no good reason to down-vote it, but it will be well in the red by tomorrow.

You do get the feeling that they're the sort of people who'd claim they received their education in the School of Hard Knocks and the University of Experience, and that that beats any of your "book learning".

There was a friend of mine whom several years wrote a program/bot to exploit a flaw in an online poll on a website which voted for a particular choice, then deleted the said cookie on Internet Explorer (this was about a decade ago!) and voted again as the script didn't do an IP address check to prevent multiple voting, only using a cookie. The end result as you can imagine was a ridiculous result for the choice in question getting about 500 times more votes than the most popular choice on any other poll on that website would normally get in total. He named the script sinnfein.exe
