So they are reporting on what the sister paper said? I'm not sure what you're driving at, here.

There is supposed to be a bit of a dick-swinging contest between Dacre and his Sunday equivalent, and it occasionally manifests in the one paper rubbishing an 'exclusive' in the other. The MoS is often slightly more centrist and open-minded, but as far as the online version goes, it's all one big paper.

It's not reporting, but rubbishing a book that the MoS thought worth serialising.

They've done that before with Pippa Middleton. They did it before they serialised her book and after.

Think about it.

A. If the DM and MoS agreed on everything would it:
1. Increase hits/sales
2. Decrease hits/sales
3. Have no affect

B. If the DM and the MoS disagreed on selective issues would it:
1. Increase hits/sales
2. Decrease hits/sales
3. Have no affect

I reckon the answer would be:
A: 3
B: 1

Kerchiing etc.

They are clever people, everything is calculated to maximise profit.

Who do you think that Geordie Greig reports to? Furthermore, is the basic lack of knowledge and understanding of those who would seek to occupy the high ground so fucking limited that this board is reduced to a laughing stock?

Mods: Your job is to chop ill-informed, embarrassing shit like this. Sort it, please.

Don't think it needs deleting. There's a little too much of the 'I don't think that was worth posting, so you're an embarrassment' stuff on here lately.

I note you body-swerved the "ill-informed" bit. Well done.

I was trying to generalise it to be more than just that post.

If you think it's ill informed, inform.

It is ill-informed insofar as "versus" means "against" and not "cross-promotes the serialisation of a book by sister publication which shares the same Editor In Chief."

The lift is also from mailonline which is essentially a 7-day operation.

If I am wrong, I will be happy to stand corrected.
