I do agree with your husband that life is tough, but also ask - why is it so? To test us - and kick- start our capacity for growth.

Outside my new study window, the snowdrops have forced their way though the leaf mould so thick you'd think it would crush their fragile green shoots. But no, they're defeating winter. And so can we.

A little bit of sick came up into my mouth as I read that...

Here's more, courtesy of Ms. Littlejohn.

And here's the picture so that we can get more hits for our website, er I mean so that you can see the depravity about which we are so concerned. We don't want to show you this picture but we feel we have to so that you know what your little darlings could be exposed to if they look at your internet history, er I mean if they listen to the pop charts...

Do I sense an imminent "Daily Mail Campaign"?

Bit tacky really - no doubt the Mail will be encouraging their readers' outrage by printing more classy photos like this. I prefer Lady Gaga anyway - at least her songs and videos are interesting.

Wasn't Mike Stock - part of legendary (s)hit factory Lock, Stock and Barrel - responsible for several hits by some woman who got her boobs out for a living?

The ultimate accolade - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... ating.html

Given that the whole point of the books is that they're about a future dystopia where the ruling elite force teenagers to fight to the death (in the Hunger Games, duhhh!!!) it would be a bit pointless to remove all the gory stuff. And whatever happened to that Mailite mantra about children growing up so much quicker these days? Funnily enough you don't get too many 13-yos watching teletubbies.

"Debate: Some parents have voiced concern the film has too many violent scenes, suggesting it should be rated R"

Which country are you in again?

*Head scratch* I'm... uh... a little torn. The book is aimed for 14+, but a 15 would really, really kill its chances.
