Absolutely. It's a modern day Bedlam and you can watch and mock from the comfort of your own chair.

Or I could not watch it as I don't support exploitative TV.

Unless it's You've Been Framed, because people send into that on purpose. And it's genuinely funny.

Surely someone called "Apps" would be able to reprogramme the computer?

I saw that one. BGT always have a couple who come on and do a turn and one of them always has less talent than an amoeba with a serious lacking in the talent department and usually a two-bagger. Anywhichwayup, Simon would raise his hand and asks whether the one who is somewhat better than the amoeba would like to try out on his/her own. Exit the amoeba who collapses into the manly arms of Ant (or Dec, I can never tell the difference) and the person on the stage bangs out a number that brings the easily-pleased house down.

They just happened to have a different song cued up for the daughter to perform on her own, to which she just happened to know the words. All very contrived, but it was better than The Voice, which made me so angry that I launched into a lengthy diatribe and had to leave the room, much to the amusement of my family. I'll take a book next time.

It's time for a sadface flashback. I watched a bit of Britain's Got Talent last night as part of a gruelling triple bill which also included The Voice and Casualty (not my choices). Anyway, I recognised one of the contestants.

Can you give us a potted version of the diatribe? I need to feel I'm not alone in my distaste for it, and I don't want to cause a diplomatic incident in my flat!

I think I should take this to the "You know what I hate" thread.

I watched a couple of the early shows but I got all irritable with the close ups of the judges' faces when someone hit the right notes in correct order. Poor old Tom has had so much botox that watching his eyebrow muscles trying to create the 'pleasantly surprised' look was painful to see.

Looks like two sad faces and two quite happy faces. The boys clearly miss Bermuda more than the girls.

Classic Mail readers' dilemma story.

It's disgraceful that this lovely white family, PLU, should be turfed out by those uppity Bermudans.
BUT
Good on the Bermudans, they can decide on whether they want immigrants in their country or not, and are quite right to chuck people out if they want to. If only the UK had the balls that Bermuda has.

I first flew to the States in 1971, and the plane refuelled at Bermuda. As it was a more civilised age then, we were allowed to walk down to the beach while waiting.

That boy really shows us all how it's done in the sadface business. I feel that he has a wonderful career ahead of him. Any day now he'll be sadfacing because they can't get him into the Hull school that they want, then it'll be a problem with Hull public transport, and before you know it he'll be all grown up and sadfacing over Hull bin collections.

It's like the Bard's ages of man, but dumbed down (sans humanity) for the Mail.

DM showing off its double standards/hypocrisy for the world to see.

Is it reasonable for foreign countries to ask if someone reads the mail on their emigration forms?

Ahhh, the Anti British Immigrant stories have started. There'll be a lot more to come, believe me. I'm waiting for the inevitable Whinging Pom set to start carping on about life in Australia/New Zealand.
