Yes. I'd add Zane Lowe to that though.

I'm of to Nottingham on Monday to see Gruff Rhys. Not a massive fan but my friend is and I feel it's gonna be fun.

Bieber fever reaches London as screaming fans greet the teen sensation at European premiere of his movie Never Say Never

I suppose they can at least claim a British angle for this one.

I can't help contrasting it with this.

He was very good on his own at Glastonbury 4 years ago, and I wasn't much of a fan of recent SFA or his solo album

It's already happening!

You know what, Hugh? I think you might actually be wrong there. Plenty of places in America have worse infant mortality than large chunks of Africa, despite your venerated healthcare system that costs so high a percentage of your GDP.

If you want to imagine the future, picture Fearne Cotton sitting on Justin Bieber's face. Forever.

Looking around the internet a bit more now I've got home, it seems the shit is really starting to hit the fan about that interview.

Apparently he described homosexuality as a choice, and basically spouted the entire right-wing christian fundie line, albeit in a dimwitted childish way. Whoever put him in front of that interviewer is going to be shot by his record label.

Hmmmmm so abortion is just like killing a baby, is it Justin old boy?

Has wee Justin had any actual education? Or is he too busy poncing about with his twatty wraparound hair moistening the gussets of pubescent pre-teens everywhere to have learned about the difference between a fully formed human child and a blastocyst made up of a few thousand cells?

For some awful, awful reason my mental image then involved Fern Britton

Thread delivers in last few posts.

...except I too now have that mental image.

So Bieber regurgitates some archetypal social/political line? Big surprise.

Get back to doing whatever it is...er...that you....do.....?

i.e. being famous for being famous by singing some songs.

The idea of Fearne Cotton sitting on Justin Biebers face is only a bad one if Bieber is allowed to breathe during the episode. If he isn't, we might finally have found a use for Cotton.
