Seems that the Tories and other nasty parties are forever getting themselves into hot water for playing music at conferences and such like by artistes that despise them and all they stand for and would cut their own bums off before agreeing that the Tories/Republicans/Nazis could use their music with their consent.

They must just wing it and choose whatever music they fancy - don't they ever check?

They can do whatever they want.

TBH i've never seen why they have to use rock music at conferences. Also any primal scream fans here

Because they want to be down wiv da kidz and let them know they can appreciate a bangin' toon when they hear one.

And all they manage to do is look pathetic. Using Get Your Rocks Off to accompany a speech about drugs is so obvious and cheesy it's beyond laughable.

Reagan was as bad when he let his "advisors" talk him into using Born In The USA for one of his speeches. Should have listened to the lyrics first, Ronnie.

And I don't know - I'm not really a fan of them.

I guarantee this hasn't pissed Primal Scream off as much as their cover of Some Velvet Morning pissed me off.

Well I was exaggerating a bit, but it is dreadful. Generic indie dance music, his terrible voice and Kate fucking Moss. Sounds like it was conceived at a coke snorting session at a fashion mag. Car advert music.

Whereas Lee and Nancy...

There's also uproar (I know it's not fury but the sentiment is the same) today because the referee in yesterdays Wales v France rugby match has a French relative. Apparantly the whole of the Welsh nation is in a state of uproar. Can anyone who lives near the border hear anything?

I'm half Welsh and I don't feel even half furious.

Not sure if the DM readers are furious about the proposed charges or the fact that disabled people have blue badges.

they wanted equal opportunities and now they have them. Its become sad that pretty much anyone with a cough and cold can get a disability badge now and the ones that suffer are usually the genuine disabled people through no fault of their own.

I'm fed up with the 'disabled' getting free parking, I was out somewhere the other day, and 2 meters from a parking meter, there were FREE parking spaces for disabled badge holders. I cannot understand why they don't have to pay, it isn't like they have to pay for anything anyway is it.

Why shouldn't they pay??? I don't see why disabled people need free parking when everyone else has to pay. Equal right isn't it????

Well, on Nov 30, no-one will get to hospital, because there will be a transport strike, and round here we are having our own form of strike near town halls hospitals in our cars (sorry, mine will only go 1mph!).

Privatise or close down the NHS now. I pay for private health insurance yet I am still compelled to fund the healthcare of those who expect that the state will take care of them no matter what their personal choices are. Paying for parking is the least one should expect given that the services the NHS provide are paid for by others.

Why all the fuss .. their generous benefits ( just look at the fancy cars they have) deem them more than capable of paying their way just like everybody else has to .. after all we're all in this together aren't we ?
