I hate to come off like one of our Comments Competition entries but I saw the Ingrams flogging some jewellery on a market stall in Guildford High Street last Saturday. And mighty fine stuff it is too - http://www.dianaingram.com/necklaces.html

An amazing number of shoppers seemed to develop tickles in their throats as they walked past.

At the last election... The likely boundary changes will make those seats revert back to before 2010....Which produced an wins for Labour under two elections and a resonable showing in 2005.

If and with the boundary changes it should revert back to a 3 way marginal then Labour have every chance with Jude.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falmouth_a ... ituency%29 - That is probably more relevant due to the boundary changes as the article suggests.

Quote:
They say they expect the current St Ives seat to revert to the area it covered before last year's general election, thus incorporating the Hayle area once again.

Falmouth would be reunited with Camborne and Redruth, again restoring the constituency to the boundaries as they existed before last year's general election.

Ironically my Mp Andrew George would be very wise to seriously distance himself from the Lib Dems he may yet stay in power.

But yeah this is for another post.

Ah right, that's 3 towns. Labour should do OK there. Is Hayle (as a town as opposed to holiday park- edit: I mean a bunch of second homes, rather than a caravan park) not Labour too?

As much West Cornwall talk as you want.

Hayle votes mainly for Andrew George the Liberal Demorcrat thats why his vote dramatically fell, when it was moved into the Camborne seat. It got so bad for Labour that when the unitary authority council was elected that it got no seats at the same time it lost its only MEP. Pockets of the Labour support seem to be coming back mind as Jude took the council seat of Camborne North.

I used to work with a guy who knew the polling for the area alot better, Labour will see a resurgence almost certaintly and I would put bets on that becoming a 3 way marginal if the boundaries are changed.

Camborne looked Labour to me as I went through it on the train, to put it tactfully. Still you'd think the same of Gloucester, Sittingbourne, Gillingham etc.

Apparently we all respect him now, and he liberated Eastern Europe.

Don't know if you can see that. It's Reagan.

Yeah but Gorby would have nuked us, like all the others but Reagan had shown him he wouldn't take shit. If we'd had Carter another 4 years, we'd be speaking Russian now.

Funnily enough one of the Mail's own nailed that rubbish:

I was amused yesterday by the lionising of Reagan by some silly woman from the U.S. embassy who chose to illustrate her point that Reagan was in touch with the American people following the space shuttle explosion by showing a clip of him reciting the first and last lines from the well-known poem 'High Flight' (doubtless from an autocue) and seemingly attributing the words to Reagan himself. If that's the best she could come up with...

Update: According to Wiki, the speech was written by Peggy Noonan:-

For me, this will always sum Reagan up...

Who couldn't make a single decision without first consulting one of Nancy's astrological charts. That really should have worried people more that it apparently did at the time, and certianly isn't something that I'd look for in a leader for the most powerfull country on earth.

All I remember about Hasselhoff's performance atop the wall is hundreds of Trabants doing three-point turns and heading frantically back east in a cloud of two-stroke smoke.

Come back Erich Hoenecher, is that's what freedom sounds like we'll keep the wall.
