Notice Blair never ever spent anything? It was all Brown, Balls and Miliband (Ed that is) he has told us in the past about why David was a much better choice of leader (several times). He forgot the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which could have probably built a 100 hospitals with the state of the art facilities.

The use of the word "National credit card" about sums up the article for me, and the use of "We" is laughable, for "We" he means a collective but his views are from an increasingly shallow and failed doctorine of blairite bullshit.

The issue would seem to be not modest deficits in some years (pre-recession budgets just about balance overall) but the way Labour bought all the City bullshit, and the chaos that's followed. Which of course the Tories did too.
