There's a village between Monmouth and Chepstow called Bigsweir. Whenever I drove through, I had an urge to wind down the car window and shout "BIG HAIRY COCKS!".

Recently chose to end a holiday walking in the Brecon Beacons with a trip to Hay-On-Wye (as a committed crate digger I can say that the book dealers there really are a pack of arseholes) and passed through Aberllynfi

Mrs Davies lied when she told out class it wasn't big or clever.

Note also proximity of 2 cricket grounds - coincidence?

I used to live near Dorridge, which had its sign changed to Porridge. I think I found it funny because it was so quaint, not like the usual "Cocksplasharse" grafitti.

In north-west London there's an Uneeda Drive. And in Grimsby there's a Letsby Avenue. Sadly, it's not the location of the local police station.

Other funny place names: well, near me, there's a village called Stoneybridge, which always makes me smile and think of patchy early 1990s Scottish sketch comedy. Out over Leominster way there's Monkland (a frequently stolen sign, that one). And there's a suburb of Birmingham called Rubery, but unfortunately that's pronounced ROO-berry, and not, like, made out of rubber.

In France there are towns called Milly, Billy, Tilly and Silly...
And there's Condom, which is on the River Baise (which also means 'fuck').
And Monteton (My Tit).
Near me Villedieu les Poeles (God's town of the frying pans) and Chevreville (Goat town). Oh, and La Chienne (bitch).

There's a Mochdre near Colwyn Bay, the name means Pig Town. There is also a town in New Zealand called Bulls whose signs are regularly amended with an extra syllable.

Letsby Avenue is in Sheffield. The one in Grimsby is Weelby Avenue...

Apologies - it's LEGSBY avenue in Grimsby. Close enough...
