"Sophisticated theologians". Hilarious. Good one, Malcolm.

(And it wasn't the whole penis, it was the prepuce, which was at least possible).

If you read the scripture, that's the only bit likely to be left on earth.
But how likely is it that the Rabbi who performed the bris would keep it and label it sufficiently for crusaders to find it 1100 years later.

I do hate Richard Curtis "comedies", though. Awful writer.

I watched that clip and I wanted to punch Rowan. He was absolutely unbearable in the first series.

Even he says it didn't find its feet until series two. I suppose this is why Ben Elton is held such high regard still, but I maintain Blackadder and Young Ones alone (neither the sole work of himself alone don't forget) can make up for everything else and make him untouchable.

I was watching the Blackadder nomination for Britain's Best Sit-Com recently, where Curtis himself while talking about Fourth and the inital controversy surrounding it, that he'd love to have been able to have a few explosions and stuff in his films. It seems even he doesn't enjoy them that much.

In which case, son't make them you wastefull arse - neither do we!!!

I had the dubious pleasure of meeting Richard Curtis once. He's very fond of himself if not his films.

I know his stuff is "popular" and makes a huge amount of money but there always something very twee, obvious and predictable about his work. Like it's written on autopilot by, joining some dots. . Blackadder probably, would have made a good hour special.
