it seems odd to me though. Play badly at badminton to gain an advantage, and you get disqualified. But falling off a bike to gain an advantage is allowed.

A Professor of Cyclology was on the Today programme this morning explaining that, as their bikes have no breaks, the safest way to stop is to deliberately crash in the event of technical difficulties (which is apparently what happened). It happens regularly apparently.

I wonder what it is like in the DM office?...they're probably all on anti-depressents or something!

The German-born rider did not understand the idiom 'pulling a fast one'. He thought it meant riding fast and agreed. Bless.

Single and loving it! Smouldering Myleene Klass sports basque and suspenders in sexy new lingerie campaign

Where the story is trying to lead you:

Another midlife crisis. Divorced, bored, confused and almost broke so why not take my cloths off.

Klass is one of those celebrity women that Mailites regard as an acceptable object for their misogyny and class prejudice:

self centred woman, bet she is a nightmare to be with.

For reasons of having a foreign name/non-European parentage, perhaps?

Well there are a few contributions from the Thai commentariat, of the 'I would' variety.

This is very similar to the Klass story:

She must be in love! Carol Vorderman is glowing as she leaves Loose Women wearing a tight polo neck top

If I've got this right, wearing tight clothes is a sign that a woman's in love; wearing underwear means she's single.

Or the whole thing is desperate shite.

Justice for Jill: Thousands take to streets of Melbourne for peace march after the rape and murder of pretty Irish journalist

Totally inappropriate.

I suppose it's not totally irrelevant but wasn't sure where to put this. I'm posting it solely for this line in the story:

Quote:
Coq d’Argent is built on the site of an ancient burial ground where for centuries hundreds of corpses of affluent Londoners were buried in shallow graves.

Indeed. You only need to do this :

Justice for Jill: Thousands take to streets of Melbourne for peace march after the rape and murder of plug-ugly Irish journalist

To see how absurd it is.

If the comments weren't moderated you'd have ample Mailites snorting that the location was therefore the best (or, horrors, 'most appropriate') place for him to top himself. The line you quote is a crass invitation to the biggest cunts among the readership to feel OK about expressing that opinion.

'I'm a single girl who likes to drink and party,' British woman tells Dubai court but denies stripping in taxi to have sex with Irish man

Quote:
Pretty Blake, 29, who wore an Islamic hijab at her last court appearance but attended today with her head uncovered, was summonsed to stand before the judges' bench at Dubai Criminal Court with McRedmond, 28, instead of standing in the defendants' dock.

OK. 'fess up. Which one of you did added this reply?

I used to live near a wind farm and it made me SICK with headaches and fever. I was so ill that not even the strongest of my homeopathic remedies could help. The only option was for me to move out of my £350,000 converted barn set in 2 acres, into a £390,000 detached house with double garage and a conservatory. - Beatrice Tippell , Portwelly, 11/9/2012 12:17

I shall be using "I was so ill that not even the strongest of my homeopathic remedies could help" in conversations.

( It's from a James Delingwat Anti-Wind Turbine diatribe from a while ago.)
