Shame they're just not funny. Or make even the slightest sense in most cases.

and the Queen is a comedy caricature of a Chinese man. I bet he spent years at art school.

Jack Straw always looks ghoulish and sinister, a bit like Steve Bell's Norman Tebbitt in the If... cartoon.

His best yet imo:

See it in it's full glory here: http://www.express.co.uk/cartoon/view/2008-07-16

It's an avant garde masterpiece, he's commenting on the very futility of existence itself and leading us to question if his cartoons weren't there, and were replaced with a slab of black, would the Daily Express be any different?

For the confused, me too.

Firefox shows it as a black slab.
IE shows it as a missing image.

Clearly it's wrong in any case, and proof that not even the express staff read their site.

Christ, I don't even begin to understand this one, let alone see how it could ever be funny in aeons.

They're like the churchill dog.

I just looked on the website, that all black graphic is still there.
I'm really starting to believe that not even their own staff look at that site.

Now, that cartoon would work if there'd been some kind of attempted overthrow of Gordon Brown, with people storming Downing Street in a revolutionary fashion.

There hasn't, so it doesn't.
