Olympic torch goes out. "A bit like the Euro!"

Queen celebrates 60 years on the throne. "I don't think the Euro will have a diamond jubilee!"

Britain cocks up at the Olympics. "It could be worse, we could be in the Euro!"

Why can none of you see just what a versatile and devastating comedy weapon it is?

Most of these are more topical and relevant than the Chelsea fucking flower show.

I saw the cacti on the right and was about to congratulate PT on his first 3D cartoon.

Why are they standing on 1970s kitchen lino?
Why is there a Doodlebug falling on the towers (next to the bats)?
Presumably the bloke is pointing out the giant cacti because Philip's too pissed to focus (just look at that shiny red nose).

On a brighter note, the bird on the cactus actually looks quite like a bird - that's a first - and also that fact that he forgot to colour in the cactus on the far right may indicate his OCD is getting better.

Great opportunity for the Queen to say "I've not seen this many Pricks since the state opening of parliament"

Why not? He'd need gloves though.

Does the Express have some kind of deal with the Chelsea flower show? That's two cartoons, several articles and a freebie this week already.

I was wondering why he made it so tall, but you're right, floating is a more likely explanation.

It's easier than reporting real news.
